SKIPPING episodes when airing sitcoms? I have started watching Laverne and Shirley on Lifetime and they have already started skipping eps and have been airing the episodes in a STRANGE order because it's not production or airdate order. So just wondering if Lifetime does the same thing with other shows like the Golden Girls.

well, when Lifetime started showing Ellen again in the late night hours, they started midway into season 2 (actually, an episode that aired in Feb 1995), but they've showed basically every episode since then, except I don't get why they started with that one episode

Yeah Lifetime starts airing L&S eps this week from the middle of season 2. I don't know why they are doing that.

Lifetime does a terrible job with Unsolved Mysteries. They go from the 3rd season to the 8th season then to the 6th season then up to the 11th season sometimes in the same week.

It's annoying if you ask me.

No... not yet.

N@N would have to dramatically improve to even be close.

WEll in N@N defense, they may do a horrible editing job but they atleast air episodes in order. Not some CRAZY order like Lifetime.

Lifetime does that on every show except their dramas that are still airing.

I just realized that today, LOL.

I was marking the episodes I had, and just by looking at the list of titles, I knew right away two episodes were skipped (10 aired this week, we are up to #13).

It's annoying, to say the least, but I'm glad at least it's back on and I can tape.

BTW, they've skipped #'s 4 & 7, and for some reason I think 9 & 12. Am I right?

ETA: They are up to #14 "From Suds to Stardom" (so 4 episodes have been skipped so far; ugh)

They did that was the Nanny finale. I've seen it, but not since 99 and I wanted to see it again. But nooo...they skipped it.

Maybe they just chose an episode out of a hat.

I found out on tv-now.com, that episodes 4 and 7 will be shown. I don't know right off hand when episode 7 will be showed but episode number 4 is scheduled to air on lifetime on march 29th.

That's because networks that air these shows, can only show the pilot, and the finale a certain amount of times, I think it's a contractual thing.

They also can only air each season a certain amount of times, that is why most networks tend to skip around :(

Yep, Lifetime's episode airing can be pretty crazy. On "The Nanny," there's a 3-part episode that they ALWAYS play out of order! LOL! They start from part 3, then show the first two! Makes no sense whatsoever!

Agh, is that the one one from the sixth season where Niles finally admits to loving CC, but she laughs in his face? So they both have an arguement and end up insulting each other and quitting, but just end up in bed that night. And Fran and Max caught them. lol Those are my favorite episodes because of everything that's going on. The Niles/CC affair, Maggie getting proposed to, Fran being pregnant, the fake babies, Brighton not wanting to go school, etc.

And it always annoys me how they NEVER play it in order. I just thought they screwed up with the order just once or twice (I haven't been keeping up with the show since I'm really busy with school and work), but once summer comes, I'm going to start watching regularly again. I saw it the correct way only once in syndication, but if it's true that Lifetime never plays it in order, than what's the point?! I just might record all three episodes and watch them int he correct order one of these days.

Knowing N@N they probably shelled out some major moola to play the finale alot more. They've probably just about used up their limit on it :)

If that's the one, no wonder it seemed weird. Like reading a book backwards.

Yep, that's the 3-parter I'm talking about. They always air "Yetta's Lettas" first, THEN "Producers" and "Dummy Twins." so yeah, you do have to kind of put them back in order mentally LOL.

I wonder why Lifetime does that when it so obviously makes no sense!
