I looked up Freddie Prinze Jr. Biography on IMDB and it said he was on Family Matters in the episode were he was a punk who brought a gun to school the episode was called "The Gun" i don't remember this episode that well maybe it will be on in the future and i can see it.

I really want to see this episode too. It's one of his first acting experiences.

It's from Season 6. It'll be a while before ABC Family gets back around to it. They just showed it back in Late January.

I'd like to see that episode too, other black sitcoms like Fresh Prince and Hanging With Mr. Cooper had episodes dealing with guns but I couldn't picture Family Matters having one and seeing how Steve Urkel through his zanyness tackles the subject.

I'm sorry, but I found that episode stupid. Yeah, I guess that the writers had their heart in the right place. And parts of it were good (seeing that girl being shot was really powerful stuff, especially when you consider how family friendly this show usually was). But I just hate how the message became "giving up your gun will save your life". WTF? How will not having a gun save your life? It makes no sense to me, and I just hate how "Fresh Prince" too has a very similar moral in one episode. For would not having a gun rather help you save your life, if you can defend yourself against a dangerous criminal? And no matter how much they tried to make having a gun sound like such a terrible thing, you will never see real criminals give theirs up willingly. So I have to say that this episode unfortunately ended with a steaming pile of politically correct but unrealistic bull****.

^^^ I get the message that they were trying to get across, but sadly I don't know if its the right one when there are people out there who are going to do whatever they want no matter who it impacts and to me, no one should ever hesitate to defend themselves from people like that.

I would love to have seen a Seinfeld episode poking unintentional humor at these "special PSA episode" cliche's.

Oh, I like many such episodes. But this one and the similar one from "Fresh Prince" both ended up rubbing me the wrong way.
