Come on, this show, along with Diff'rent Strokes, already had video releases, so why don't they just put them on DVD the same time and hav them out and ready for us fans? THey are bringing Whos the Boss to DVD in June, and even though it is a great show, it can't compare to FOL and DS. These shoulda have been out by now. What the hell is wrong with NBC and whoever owns the rights to them....COLUMBIA I think it is

Whoa'. I haven't seen anything on any future dvd release scedule saying they are releasing Who's the Boss on DVD. They would have posted it on the IMDB by now. I know because Boy Meets World is coming to DVD in August and the IMDB already mentions it. And guess what, the future DVD release site future dvd list thins out dramatically on the later months of the year. Who knows. FOL and DS might be on that list. The commitee just cant decide which month to release it on. Just give it faith.

Yes it is true! The first season of Who's The Boss is coming to DVD in June 2004. Goto www.tvshowsondvd.com for more information. If you have noticed, Columbia Tristar is still releasing their shows that were on the poll. Here is a current updated list of the shows.

Released/Upcoming:

The Critic
Barney Miller
Soap
Dilbert
The Tick
Designing Women

August 2004: The Partridge Family
August 2004: Newsradio
June 2004: Just Shoot Me
June 2004: Who's The Boss
?? 2005 or 2006: Bewitched

Shows Not Yet Announced:

Action
Father Knows Best
The Flying Nun
Route 66
Benson
Hart to Hart
Silver Spoons
I Dream of Jeannie
Square Pegs
Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman
T.J. Hooker
Diff'rent Strokes
Maude
The Nanny
V.I.P
Donny and Marie
Werewolf
The Facts of Life
One Day at a Time
Fantasy Island
Parker Lewis Can't Lose

*** Eventually I feel Columbia will release their other "poll" shows on DVD probably within the next two years. I believe Facts of Life will be out by the end of 2006, same with these other shows that were popular like Maude, Silver Spoons, I dream of Jeannie, etc..... I you notice 25% of the poll shows are or coming out on DVD only 75% left to release! I also don't think 'Facts' will be last on the list.

FOL should already have a date planned for season 1 release. It's surprising that they don't.

Excuse me, but FOL can't even compare to DS!!! Who's the Boss is the much better comparision of the two.

I have to disagree. WTB, IMO, was sligtly better than FOL, but thats just my opinion.

Anyway, I belive Columbia owns the FOL rights, and the next show to be released by Colombia is The Nanny. If you keep voting for FOL on DVD, Colombia should release it.

Since Season 1 and 2 were both half-seasons, thell probably do "The Complte 1st and 2nd Seasons of The Facts of Life"

This is just a theory...

I'm betting Sony is waiting to see the sales of Diff'rent Strokes season 1 before jumping into Facts of Life.

Remember, the season finale of the DS Box set is going to be the pilot for Facts of Life.

Plus, since the two shows have a weird intercontinuity the first few seasons, Sony would be smart to release the seasons as close to cronologically as they could...

For example: DS1, DS2 and TFOL Seasons 1 and 2, DS3, FoL3, and so on.

But, I would bet the first two seasons of the show will be on DVD by mid 2005, maybe sooner if DS does well.

Yeah, if Diff'rent Strokes sells well, theyll release The Facts of Life right away. But if Diff'rent Strokes doesnt sell, than they probably wont release The Facts of Life, or at least, not for a while. So keep your fingers croseed that DS sells!

i think they are gonna release FOL no matter what, but it will be in rounds with DS. its the whole marketing campaign. its like harry potter. first they release a book which gets them through 6 months, then a movie for 2 months, then they have a 3 month waiting period, then the dvd that carried them 6 more months to either the next movie or book.

these shows will be like, release one and let it sell for a few months, release another, let it sell, so on...

and i agree with rurry... i think WTB is better than FOL. however, it depends on the audience. FOL is going to get more kids involved, WTB gets more adults involved.

:yeahthat

I agree with you. Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley and Mork and Mindy are all coming out around the same time, and as we know L&S and M&M are spin offs of Happy Days.

I wonder if companys are also taking in to account how well episodes have sold thru Columbia House?

Its a good thing DVDs were invented, can get so much on to them - who would have thought that three cds could hold endless episodes of ones favorite shows on!

I live in the UK and have already got Soap and Mary Tyler Moore on dvd - will soon be getting Whos The Boss, Different Strokes and other bits

Well...I think the show is going to come once DS is released. The show did spin-off right away. THink about it. Season 1 has the pilot in it/ intro to the show. It's not like the show was intruduced in season 4 of Strokes or 4 or 5. So there. I think it's gonna come in 05' latest the release.

Im sure, sooner or later, Facts will be released on DVD and it will go to some TV channel, I think the best bets are TV Land and Lifetime.

I would love to see Facts on TV and/or DVD, but Facts would be released by Colombia/Tri-Star and they release their seasons super slow :(

well, unless your name is The Golden Girls or The Nanny, Lifetime doesn't treat you well. They aired Providence all of one whole week
