Okay, guys!

I'm creating this thread for the sole purpose on how to avoid all these ridiculous and unnecessary fights on these boards from being locked. (maybe this post can be a STICKY?)

Janice told me that it is frustrating to her, because it's difficult to edit every single post. So locking the thread is her best solution. I know where she's coming from. My friend gave me moderating duties, but I gave up after a week. It's too diffucult- I don't want the job to tell you the truth. :lol:

So I would like to know how WE can avoid all of these fights. What is so annoying to us.

For starters, I think the constant :crazy: :lol: :happyface :wave:® posts should come to an end. The reason I have the "®" beside the :crazy: :lol: :happyface :wave: , is because it's EricIdleFan's (sorry Shelby-you started it) Regestered Trademark. :lol: Everybody is now doing this. And It's SO ANNOYING.

Anybody have other suggestions to avoid our threads from being locked?

Don't respond to EIF's posts for one.

Ban EricIdlefan.

Don't argue, don't harass other members and don't start threads that are useless. EricIdleFan's post don't bother me. Don't ban her she is a good member. some don't like her because she speaks her mind. Miss Vicki is right she is not breaking any rules.

She's spamming, harrassing people for no reason and insulting people because of their ethnic backgrounds. then she apologizes and does the same goddamn thing over again. All shes doing is starting fights.

Exactly. And some people are probably going to say, "We call her names and insult her." Well she is asking for it! She is absolutely capable of posting on topic, she just doesn't care. Now, if she honestly misunderstands a thread (like the oxymoron one), then there is nothing that can be done to stop that. But when someone informs her she has it wrong, she goes mad! It's obvious most of her "mistakes" are just out of pure laziness and disregard for others.

And it's not that easy to ignore. I shouldn't have to put someone on an ignore list. They should have to follow the rules, and they should have to contribute to the topic correctly.

Did it ever occur to anyone that there might(I emphasize might) be something wrong with her. If that is the case, give her some slack. She might not see things as clearly as everyone else.

Yes, that occurred to me. I am cutting her slack by saying nothing can be done about her misunderstanding some topics (my example was the oxymoron thread). When she genuinely doesn't understand something that's okay. I see her being quite capable other times with threads however. I really think she could do it far more often.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I don't like it when someone pops-off a stupid remark like "You probably just flip burgers for a living for your job". For some weird reason, Solomon pops in my head for idiotic comments like that.

So, what, that would make her an exception to the rules? I don't think so.

Miss Vicki - You asked how banning her would solve anything. Well, she wouldn't be around to post any of her lame ass off topic bull**** that annoys people and causes fights. If she's not around to piss people off than there wouldn't be as many fights. Plus, if you simply point something out to her that proves her wrong, she freaks out and attacks you.

I think a petition should be started. Members who want EricIdlefan banned can sign it. It would be fair, now wouldn't it? Having the board members decide? I think it would.

Oh yeah, Solomon is another one. In fact, when this thread was started, I wanted to suggest banning him, but damn... his posts amuse me. That boy is so clueless that you can't help but laugh at him. Come on, admit it, you get kicks out of the things he says. Breaking a date just to stay home and watch his brand new television series on DVD? He's just a big joke and I know many people laugh at him. I know I do.

How is that a waste of space? Because, it has become a forum bashing another member. Jenya did not post this for people to bash EIF, it was created to stop fights.

Here's a good way to keep threads from getting locked:

Don't bring up EIF. Now that would also involve banning or doing something else so she can't post, but it's the only way this is going to totally stop.

Spamming, harrassing people and discriminating IS BREAKING THE RULES. I'm just as troublesome? May i ask how? Do i have a freak attack and go off insulting people for no reason and start fights? Excuse me but not only has ericidlefan annoyed me but she has offended me and i wont tolerate her.

Now come on guys...let's NOT blame everything on EricIdleFan. As CoolCountry says, we need to know how to STOP these fights altogether.

EIF has had problems with a lot of people, not just Sarah. And I've seen her say some offensive things. Just because you haven't seen it yourself doesn't mean that it hasn't happened.

1. She called chris "eurotrash" because he's european and she insulting me for not having a mom.

2. I dont want her banned because she bothers me- i want her banned for SPAMMING, LYING, AND HARRASSING PEOPLE.

3. When i put people on my ignore list it psychologically makes me curois what they said. and she always talks about me and snaps at me at random times anyway.

Ban the posters who are constantly starting fights. Just banning them once and letting them come back doesn't help matters either if they are banned ban them forever. These people don't learn and they never will.
