I'm no expert on this subject by any means, but what was with Ward and his PJ's the other night? He came to the bedroom door twice, not only buttoned up to his neck but his top was tucked into his bottoms. Did anyone else find this a little different?

I think it is perfectly in keeping with his character. Ward wears ties with cardigans around the house. And he keeps his suit jacket on in the house. I guess that's the male version of pearls and heels to do housework. These were impeccably dressed people even in their sleep. I love it!!!

Exactly, that is "Ward". And, never a hair out of place.

Forgot to mention, in grade school I had a good friend that had his socks ironed. He would never wear any chothes more that once without having them washed, and had his pillow cases and sheets changed every day. Wonder if he grew up to be Ward?

I once saw an episode of MY THREE SONS, and Chip had his PJ top bottoned all the way to the collar and the pajamas were neatly pressed.

Chip always seemed to be very proper and modest to me. However, in one episode "Uncle Charlie" came in the living-room, and announced he was doing laundry, and Chip stripped off his shirt, and handed it to Charlie.

That sounds like something Chip would do. Of course, he probably had a T shirt underneath his shirt. I can't picture him running around the house topless.

By the way, has anyone slept in pajamas lately. They are the most uncomfortable things to wear while you are sleeping. I'd rather sleep in a straight jacket.

Actually, he was. I have some caps of it somewhere, and will see if I can find them.

Wonder if Beav would ever have done that?

That surprises me. I could see Robbie doing that, but not Chip. I don't think Beaver or Wally would do that, either.

Hawaii five and crder or whomever posting just before this one. Are you a man or woman.? If you are a man I can't image you sleeping in a nightgown. What do you sleep in.?

I didn't see this episode, but here's my take on it: Maybe they showed Ward with his PJ's top buttoned up to the neck and the top tucked into the bottom because a more haphazard look could have indicated that perhaps (dare I say?) Ward and June had just been intimate ? (Okay - you can slap me for even suggesting such a thing!

I think that was just the way Ward is.

I agree w/ you. Ward was always well groomed. Even when he was relaxed on a Saturday or doing yard work.

I can remember in at least one episode, Ward coming to the bedroom door with his hair all mussed up---which is what you would expect after waking up.
