View Full Version : Favorites and least favorites of season 2
BowWowsBreezy 03-10-2004, 07:14 PM Hey what are everyones favorite and least favorite episodes of season 2 and why? ( i thought this would be fun and could get the activity back up on the board)
My favorites are: Season Premier, Goodybye, The Story of Anne Frank and Skeevy, and Consequences.
I liked the season Premier because it was hilarious and made you wonder what the show would be like if John were still alive.
I liked Goodbye because even though it was a horrible situation it was nice to see the family pulling together (I'm way to attached to the show)
I liked The Story of Anne Frank and Skeevy because it was just so damn funny  plus the storyline and the writing was amazing
Finally I liked Consequences cause' it was hilarious, once again I loved the story line.
Least Favorite Episode: What Dad Would Want
I didn't like this episode because it was kind of dull (except for the major conversation between Bridget and Kerry)
THATS JUST MY OPINION NOW I WANT EVERYONE ELSE TO POST THEIRS LOL
Honda Rider 03-10-2004, 11:28 PM First season I liked 'Come and Knock on Our Door," because I loved seeing John trip over the couch again, and the Don Knotts cameo killed me. I also liked "By the Book." I thought the pilot could have been better, though (mostly because they showed all the good parts during the spoilers.)
Season Two I liked 'Sex Ed' and 'Donny Goes AWOL' (I missed the premiere episode because I had to work.) especially 'Donny Goes AWOL' because it had John Ratzenberg and Cindy Williams, who were very funny in it, and they did a nice tribute for John Ritter at the end. I also liked 'Goodbye' but felt the acting by Kaley Cuoco was pretty unconvincing, and show was kind of emotionally draining. I preferred 'No Right Way' (Kaley Cuoco made up for her poor showing in this episode) and 'The First Thanksgiving' which had the perfect balance of humor and drama.
I didn't like "What Dad Would Want." The idea is way too cliche. The episode featured the weakest humor, and was overall pretty boring. I also didn't find "Opposite's Attract, part 1" too funny either. Other than that, I've liked most episodes.
HDfanLiz 03-11-2004, 02:28 PM There hasn't been an episode so far this season that I've hated (which is kind of strange, now that I think about it) but I would have to say my favorites would be Donny Goes AWOL, Sex Ed, The Story of Anne Frank & Skeevy, and all three of the Opposite Attracts. My least favorite episodes would probably be Consequences, No Right Way, and Daddy's Girl.
MandieR1980 03-11-2004, 03:48 PM The YMCA episode was pretty funny
BowWowsBreezy 03-14-2004, 10:34 PM [i] I also liked 'Goodbye' but felt the acting by Kaley Cuoco was pretty unconvincing [/B]
I'd have to disagree, I thought her acting was best. If anyones acting was bad it was Billy aaron Brown's (just my opinion)

I thought Katey Sagal's acting was the best. Billy Aaron Brown's performance was steller to me. His line's weren't delivered in a very funny way, but he kept in line with his character. Kaley Cuoco seemed to come off as sort bratty, while trying to be sincere. I'm not trying to be harsh. It was a difficult job to do. I just felt she came off much more convincing in her scene in the next episode. That was done very well, with great reactions. The closing scene with her flipping through the photo book was well placed and heartwrenching. I was much more convinced that this was a person grieving a lost one in this episode. (Just my opinion.)

I agree with the post Ritter episodes. I'll admit, I became more interested in the show during the transition period, because this was something new for television, but since then the show has become pretty mediocre. The show was never an exceptional sitcom, but he made entertaining all the same, and even though I never liked him in this as much as 'Three's Company' felt he was great in this role, and was happy to have him on the TV screen again. Now it's just not as special, anymore. I still watch, but it's certainly lost the original magic it had in the first season.

Yeah, I totally agree. It's really hard to fill the void left by John :( even with the additional casting of James Garner and David Spade, the special magic that was left by John will never be dupilcated. To be honest, I don't watch the show anymore, but just come to this message board for the latest updates.
