Actor Paul Winfield died of an apparent heart attack. He was 62 years old.

Wow.....I think his career started in 1957. RIP

Just yesterday I was watching "Original Gangstas" on Showtime, which he starred in. That's sad news to hear. I liked him in "Sounder", on "227" and other stuff he did.

In addition to his movies he was a regular on the sitcoms The Charmings and 227. R.I.P. Paul.:(

I remember i saw him in Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan movie & he had some worms put in his ears by the bad dudes. I was like ughhh. I remember him on 227 & in Original Gangstas movie. I forgot he had played Martin Luther King in Martin movie. RIP Paul Winfield. He was a good actor.

There's a show I watch sometimes called "City Confidential" and he was the narrator for that show.

My heart was so sadden when I heard this today. I agree he is very good narrator for City Confidential! He also did a very good in performance "King" "Its Good To Be Alive" as well as his role in "Sounder". Truly underrated talent. R.I.P. Mr. Winfield!

He was also on Touched by an Angel as the "big boss" of boss angels Sam!! Great actor and he is an angel, a real one up in the heavens!!:angel: :angel:

I watch that show, too. Really liked him on 227, and in his movies. Rest in peace, Mr. Winfield. :(
