Ever thought about volunteering for a charitable cause?? I am thinking about volunteering as a big sister for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters in my local town of Knoxville where I live in Seymour!! Has any of you thought about and/or are already doing charity work??

I've never done it but my niece does the Big Sister thing and loves it. I wouldn't mind volunteering my time. I just have to decide what it is I want to do.

I'm a volunteer judge at Hooters.....judging who has the biggest ummmm, brains. :)

I either want to do church work, youth groups, and/or Boys & Girls club!!

I want to volunteer at the animal shelter.

I do every now and then, the last place I volunteered was a daycare.

I've volunteered before. I worked at a mission shelter, in order to get hours so that I could be confirmed for my church. It was a pretty good experience, I just don't have that much time anymore. I work, and I am also a full time student in college.

Would like to do something will terminally ill kids!!

I've worked with a nursing home, Home of the Sparrow (a shelter for abused women), Angel Tree, and as a tour guide at an eighteenth century grist mill.

I'm too self-centered for charity.

If I still want to go to medical school (which by the way, that idea is looking dumber and dumber), I'd have to have medical experience. Since it is hard to find paying jobs where inexperienced college students get to deal with patients, I'd probably have to at least start out as a volunteerer. Unfortunately, I am not the volunteering type. I don't even have the enthusiasm to get a paying job now... and to do work for no money? EN-OH.

I'd rather get paid to work.

i do some volunteer work at this park, where all the kids play soccer and baseball. im at the place where they sell hot dogs, burgers, etc. i get the food ready.

Also like to work for something with like cancer or AIDS!!
