The unofficial "Partridge" site, cmongethappy.com is reporting it. tvshowsondvd.com, which I consider to be a bit more reliable, is reporting that the whole thing is a little more tentative.

Columbia-TriStar has not verified any of the extras, and says that it depends on availability of talent. I'd love to see the original version of the pilot as an extra, but I didn't see anything about that on either site. For those of you who aren't familiar with this pilot -- it isn't so much that it's an unaired pilot; rather it's a slightly different edit of the "What, and Get Out of Show Business?" episode that did air. In this version, Shirley is called Connie (you'll notice that she's never called by name in the version that made it to air) and in the tag scene, she reveals she has a new boyfriend, played by Shirley Jones' real-life husband, Jack Cassidy.

One possible feature would be to have the song performance part of each episode on it's own track, and then have a "Play all songs" menu option, which plays all the songs on that disk (say 8 of them) in succession. It would be like a twenty minute lip-sync concert.

It's almost August. I just checked amazon.com. No mention of any Partridge family DVD's there.

I can't wait to buy this since episodes are pretty hard to come by. I hope they end up releasing all 4 seasons.
It's good that they've made an effort to put extras on it too.

Just a quick FYI, if you pick the set up at Costco it comes in a long box with a free t shirt. Hope this helps! :)

I don't know what you mean by greenlight or where you got that info, but it sounds like a good sign.

"greenlighted" means it's all set to go. Like a green stoplight means go.

Yeah, that was what someone told me after I posted that message. Thanks for replying, though, and that's great on it being all set to go. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and watch for it in DVD news.

My Three Favorite Commentary Tracks – and One That Should Have Been (https://comforttv.blogspot.com/2019/04/my-three-favorite-commentary-tracks-and.html)

“What? And Get Out of Show Business?”

The Partridge Family

Commentary by Danny Bonaduce

“There’s something you almost never see – Susan Dey eating.”

Part tribute and part roast, Danny Bonaduce watches the first Partridge episode more than 20 years after it debuted, and can still quote most of his lines from memory.

He mocks his own fake bass playing, asserts his certainty that David Cassidy could beat up Bobby Sherman, and expresses great admiration for costar Dave Madden (“Every muscle in that man’s face acts”). “This is so fun,” he says while he watches the moment his life changed. His observations, appreciations and wisecracks are delightful from start to finish.
