On MSNBC it is reported that the show's creators and producers plans for a SATC movie is a not in the cards because the creators/producers think that the show should had ended just like it should and if there was a movie, it would ruin the whole idea and/or whole scripts and not wanting to let the audience/die-hard sex fans begging for more!! But Sarah Jessica Parker, one of the Executive Producers might make the creators/producers change their minds but it is a longshot!!

Cattrall Declines 'Sex and the City' Film
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Kim Cattrall said she didn't want any more "Sex and the City," so that means her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis won't be getting any either.
At least for a while.
HBO representatives said Cattrall's refusal led the cable channel to drop the idea of a feature film based on the popular series, which ended its six-season run this year.
"Kim felt fortunate to have enjoyed six wonderful years, both personally and professionally, playing Samantha on 'Sex and the City,'" said Cattrall spokeswoman Marvet Britto in a recent statement.
"She would have loved to have done the movie and made a deal to do the movie, but waited as long as possible with no script or start date and felt she had to take other offers that were presented to her after the hold period had passed."
Cattrall has instead signed on to shoot "Ice Princess" for Walt Disney Pictures.
It's possible that she could revisit the role of the seductress Samantha at a later time.
"Kim would of course love to do the film and would be happy to revisit the project in the future," Britto said.
There may have been other obstacles in the road to a "Sex" movie.
The trade newspaper Variety reported this week that Cattrall wanted script approval, which the other actresses were denied. Parker, the show's central character, was also to be paid more, according to Variety, and Cattrall wanted the same fee - and was rejected.

I know SJP is technically the star, but I believe all 4 ladies deserved to get the same payment. I mean, we all know Jennifer Aniston is the biggest cast member on Friends, but yet they always stuck together as a team and realized as a whole, they deserved the same.
Sex wouldn't have been the same if Cynthia, Kim and Kristen weren't involved. I think all 4 of them were equally vital to the success of the series.
But if the movie doesn't happen... what loss is there? can you name one movie adaptation of a tv show that lives up to the original series? The South Park and Beavis And Butt-Head movies showed they were both a lot funnier when they were shorter, the X-Files movie is widely regarded as inferior to the tv series, even most people agree that a "remake" like Charlie's Angels didn't come close to the original series. It might be a good idea if the show ended where it did and not wind up with a disapointing movie.
