How much are you paying for gas in your area? I don't drive (thank God), but gas in Montréal goes for about 80¢/Liter right now. That's crazy!

We're lucky here... $1.52 a gallon last time I checked. National Average is now $1.72 a gallon. It's over $2 a gallon in California.

I fill it up when it gets to about a half a tank and my parents(I can thank my father for this!!) says it saves the car money!!

Why is that?

and West... it all depends on where they get the crude oil from. The states with the lowest gas prices are in the East and generally south of the Mason/Dixon Line, and the highest are West of the Mississippi for the most part.

Well, I don’t drive. I take the bus.

But yes, prices are over $2.00/gallon in Los Angeles. California prices statewide are higher than most other places because our gas has to meet higher regulatory standards in order to keep our air cleaner. Smog, y’know. That adds $$ to the overall price.

My mom drives an Excursion, which gets pretty terrible gas mileage, and its getting pretty steep to fill it up. I mean, its a huge vehicle with a huge gas tank anyway..it costed a lot to fill it up before. Luckily, our gas prices havent reached $2 yet. I hope they don't either, my mom is putting the miles on my car...she's making me drive her around to save money.

Believe it or not, most of your oil comes from Alberta (here in Canada). It's all politics. OPEC decides on the prices and production. Most of Europe pays the highest gas prices in the world. Even though they get most of their oil from Kazakhstan and Russia (Siberia) really cheap. :(

DOesn't surprise me. Gas over there is probably £2 or so for one gallon. It works out to about that much.

But then, cars are super-small in England. Well, there's a lot of regular-sized cars there, but the small cars outnumber them. They're also gas-efficient...

I saw a ton of cars like those in London...
