Did sitcomsonline.com originally start with just Facts of Life? Because there are over 23 THOUSAND posts for this show, and the next closest is only about 400 for Diff'rent Strokes...not even close.
Why are there so many posts here compared to elsewhere??

I've been trying to figure out the same thing myself ever since I came here. So many ppl came here the same way I did: by doing a search for FOL.

I think that part of the reason why so many ppl want to discuss it is because there's so much trivia to the actors behind the characters. Plus, FOL is unique compared to any other sitcom, because it's kind of like a soap opera/comedy combination. You've got to watch it from the VERY beginning to understand it. Once you watch it from the beginning, you're basically hooked. Unlike any other sitcom, FOL underwent some major changes from its 1st season to its 2nd season.

I like DS too, but I would never have thought of doing a search on the net to discuss the show.

To top it all: FOL is just plain darn excellent!

B/c FOL is the second best show in the world!

I"m sure the Divsion message boards has more posts than Different Storkes!

DS is far from being the second closest. Here they are (Just the Sitcoms Ones):

#01- "The Facts of Life"
#02- "Chico and the Man"
#03- "Happy Days"
#04- "Three's Company"

In Topics It's:

And the HD board is very sloooooooooow.

This board wasn't very active when I first started it in February 2000. It didn't take off until Nick at Nite started showing it and I expanded the site.

Actually, my Happy Days (#1 in traffic) and Diff'rent Strokes (#2 in traffic) site each receive about double the traffic then The Facts of Life Online - but for some reason there is a wide spread in the amount of posts. I guess some shows are just easier to discuss then others... the mailing lists are really the same way..

LOL That's strange. The sites recieve more hits then the FOL site when FOL is the biggest board. I usually visit the DS and HD Sites once a week. But I almost never post on the HD board. THe HD board seems dead now.

Who knows why so many people post here. I still have no idea why I'M still here...
