Celtics at HOME. No Top 5 Western Team is supposed to lose to the Celtics At Home. I'm sorry but the Timberwolves are not real. This Sunday they lose to the Celtics and last Sunday they lose to the Sixers without Iverson-LOL MINNESOTA IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!!!

Minnesota has lost to Atlanta, Philly last sunday and Boston tonight. They are no longer a Elite Western Team. THEY HAVE BEEN EXPOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pfff. I'm not worried. They're still figuring out how to fit Szczerbiak and Hud into the mix. They'll have it all figured out. I would prefer them playing better on national TV, though.

What is not to believe about it? 'Good' teams lose to bad teams all the time, not sure why this would be so shocking.

I am disappointed in Minnasota, they are one of the teams I am rooting for in the Western Conference. Maybe they can get famous Minnesota native Prince to play for them, if he plays half of good as the made up Prince on the Chappelle show plays.

And as a Knick fan I am pissed at Minnesota, for losing to the Sixers and Celtics, two teams the Knicks are battling for the playoffs. (though Sixers and Celtics are the two teams that are the least of a threat to make the playoffs) Can't they do us one favor?, after all we gave them Sprewell.

I as a KNICK fan felt it was time for Spree to take his attitude to another team. If you know most of the team is looking at you for leadership why not walk the straight and narrow path during the season..show up on time. dont break your hand..play hurt. I dont agree with what they got in return..van horn then in turn thomas..so basically you traded spree for t. thomas when you could've got more. :lol:

I give Minnesota a pass for lossing to the Sixers in Philadelphia. I believe that if your the home team you always have a shot of winning the game. Example, Lakers losing to the Hawks in Atlanta.

No matter how inferor you are to the other team, if you are at home you have a punter's chance of winning. But Minnesota has no excuse for losing to the Celtics at home.

alright soo the celtics went on a tough skid, but they have won 5 straight and it was a very impressive win last night, I dont think celtics are bad, but I dont think they are anything special either

Maybe with a good Point Guard. Atkins is ok. He does not draw the double team . They need to wait for Welch to develop so they can have a good SF. I dont think Davis is a scoring threat. Maybe a dunker..but no pure shooter. Baker was the low post threat. I think Mims might be a better PF than center. Pierce has become a streaky shooter. They aight. If Lafrentz where not hurt then we might see a run at the playoffs....and a first round exit.*l*

That is the difference between a young team like the T- Wolves, which core group is together for the first time this season, and more experenced teams like the Lakers, Kings, Spurs, Mavericks, and even the Nets, they know better than to play down to your competition and take things for granted.

Didnt the Kings recently get beat by a scrub team - the Hawks I think, as did the Lakers by the Hawks. Just because a team is bad - they are still NBA players - not some gym players.

The Lakers lost to the Hawks in Atlanta without Kobe Bryant. Like I said before, if you are at home, you have a chance of winning, no matter who you play.

And Minnesota lost to the Sixers and Celtics one week apart. The Lakers and Kings don't lose to those types of teams that often.

I know what I am talking about and with Ainge knows what he is doing having coached previously before and I grew up watching him with Bird and McHale!! He was best known for his three-throw shots!! LOL@three throw hahahahahahahahaha. Minnesota lost to Portland last night in Portland 92-79. Damon Stoudamire had 28 points & Zach Randolph had 18 points & 11 boards. Kevin Garnett had 20 points & Sam Cassell had 15 points. Latrell Sprewell only had 10 points. Latrell gotta do better than that for Minnesota to win. Minnesota also needs more scoring from their bench. Troy Hudson & Wally Szczerbiak need to score more consistently.

I agree with Eddie Haskell that Danny Ainge doesn't know what he's doing. Just because he coached Phoenix Suns for a minute EricIdlefan doesn't mean he knows how to be a general manager.

i think they are selling the team. so to empty all your players and make the team a better buy for the new owners is a smart move. Unless your buying a proven champ and in todays NBA there is no one clear cut favorite.

The team just went through a sale. Wyc Grousebeck is the new owner. I heard him on a sports talk show last week and he sounds more clueless than Danny Ainge. Recently when Ainge was asked about the Celtics winning streak, he said, "It would be much better if we were to lose and miss the playoffs". Sounds like the team is not only playing against other NBA teams but also against management. I don't blame Jim O'Brien (former coach) one bit for walking out on them in the middle of the year.

I think Jim O'Brien will find work soon..unlike Don Chaney.

Minnesota is really slippin. They lost to Portland yesterday in Minnesota 92-83. Theo Ratliff had 6 blocks for Portland. Zach Randolph had 20 points & 11 boards, Derek Anderson had 21 points, Damon Stoudamire had 17 points. Sam Cassell told the media that he guaranteed victory against Portland. He should've kept his mouth shut LOL. Latrell Sprewell only had 9 points. When Latrell doesn't have a good game, Minnesota doesn't have a chance to beat anybody. I don't think Minnesota is gonna do that well in the playoffs. I think they'll get out the first round this yr but they won't make it past the 2nd round.

I thought Minnesota's game was dependant on KG's game, but it's Sprewell?

That Zach Randolph is a BAAAD dude, lol. He is a great player inside, he just seems to instinctly know just when to fake, dish, jump inside. (I always thought he looked like Eugene from "The Practice", just a thought.)

Well, I went to the Spurs - Wolves games a couple nights ago. I can't begin to say how disappointed I am in them! Who woulda thought getting Olowakandi, Hudson, and Szczerbiak back would hurt the team. We've come to the conclusion that Wally's game throws off the team chemistry. They really had something going with "The big three." Wally sucks. He can't play defense. He gets caught in switches ALL THE DAMN TIME. He's just gotta go. They need to trade him after the season. This is assuming they don't stop struggling before playoffs start. They definetly need to straighten up before playoffs start, or it's gonna be 8 strait years of 1st round outages.

U spoke too soon about Wally. He had 24 points last night against Phoenix even though Phoenix isn't good. Minnesota won 93-80. I see what you're saying though. Wally, Troy, Michael Olowakandi just aren't getting it done consistently. I know Kevin & Sam have to have big games for Minnesota to be successful but if Latrell doesn't help out, Minnesota doesn't have a chance at beating anybody. Did ya'll see Latrell's hat that he had on when he was walkin through the garage tunnel before the game started against the Spurs Thursday? His hat looked like the hat that Dr Seuss wore LOL. When you say "All he knows how to do is score.", do you mean "All he knows how to do is shoot"? Because "knowing how to score" connotes knowing what to do in EVERY situation to score a basket, which is a good quality; whereas "Only knowing how to shoot" makes you a chucker, like George Costanza.

Well, generally he's been a very good shooter, and shoots a high percentage. This year it hasn't really been a case, so you could probably call him a chucker.

The Spurs are defending champs so they are no where near a JOKE. Minnesota has not and will not succeed in the Western Conference Playoffs because they have to go up against BIG YAO MING

What I'm saying is they are in position to make a run at another title and they know what it takes to get that done. Minnesota on the other hand has to figured out how to get out of the first round

It's not like you sit around and try to split the atom. All you gotta have, is experience, and good players. Sam-I-Am has won 2 NBA titles with the Rockets, and Spree has been there before. There's no question the Wolves have what it takes to get far into the playoffs.

I checked the standings already & i told u the Lakers have the 2nd best record in the west but u know that could change cause there's still 9-10 games left for the Lakers & Minnesota.
