Thoughts? Anyone else notice the PG rating on the episode where Michelle rides a bike and finds that strange?

That episode was from "Easy Rider". The show was either TV-G or TV-PG.

The rating system never makes sense.

N@N's rating system is different than TBS. Because N@N has a younger audience, they have to be stronger on the rating system. For instance, "Family Matters" on ABC Family is rated PG(every episode), but on TBS, all but maybe 1 or 2 episodes were rated G.

BTW: I have NEVER seen a TV-14 rating on N@N, even though on TBS, Roseanne had a lot of episodes with a TV-14 rating.

I agree. Another thing I don't understand is 'Why is "Family Matters" always rated PG on ABC Family?'

That was a bit strange about the "Easy Rider" episode being rated PG. Of all the "Full House" episodes that were made, I think there are quite a few eps that deserve a PG rating more than that one.

By the way, how could it have had a 'G' rating when it originally aired? Television ratings didn't start until 1997 after "Full House" was cancelled.

I think that episode was rated PG because Danny and Vicky make out. There have been other episodes of Full House where that has happeend, so I don't know.

Yeah kids should not see the grown ups making out. It's not good for children to see that.

I can think of one PG-rated scene in the episode "Rock the Craddle" where Becky tries to tell Jesse about her pregancy. When Jesse is explaining to the family how he's "practiced in other people's garages," you should see the looks on their faces. The family thought Jesse already knew her pregancy news, but he was really explaining about his music for the summer tour around promoting Jesse and the Rippers. That was like a misunderstanding but had these types of "adult" discussions.

Danny did, but the audience still heard what was being said.

Yeah, that was definitely a PG moment I think. I probably wouldn't understand what he was saying if I saw it when I was very young, but when you understand what he's saying, it is pretty suggestive.

There's another scene I remember when the monkey was loose in the house, and got into Jesse's bed and started spanking him, and Jesse was enjoying it. I think that was a little suggestive and probably would deserve a PG rating over a G.

LOL! That's a little more than suggestive. ;)

In a few episodes Jesse said the bad "D" word. I bet those episodes were rated PG.

I agree that was funny, but younger kids wouldn't get it.

No. You're thinking of the pilot episode where Jesse said to Danny, "What the h*** did you do with Vanessa?"

I don't know, even in 'G' rated shows, they still say the 'd' word or the 'h' word occasionally.

maybe they made a mistake and the wrong thing came up. maybe they were supposed to push the G button but pushed the PG button instead.

You know that suggestive bit that you guys were talking about? Well, i pretty much understood that at the age of 9 or 8. That part of the episode is hilarious.

Anyways, i remember that in that one episode where Joey and Jesse quit the jingle job, about right before the commercial break Jesse asks "What the hell just happened?". That sort of surprised me.

ON the earlier episodes they had showgirls with cleavage and all go out with jesse i dont know how this can be rated G. there was even an episode where this girl comes to stay with jesse and she asks if its ok and jesse looks at her boobs and goes "its more than ok its amazing"

Yep, I noticed that seen too, it was in "Our Very First Show" infact. I mean, if you really look at it, the show was filled with innuendos like that. I'm guessing most younger people won't get it, but it's something entertaining for the older people.

Yeah, in Our Very First Show, there was a mention where Jesse is telling Danny about his "visit" at Vanessa's place before she was off to the Phillipines. Just as he's about to talk about it, Danny changes to subject to food... :eek:

Lets not forget the part in "Daddy's Home" when Joey gets back with Jesse's motorcycle and he described his "hot date".

The blooper clips that were online had a lot of stuff like that, by Dave Coulier. Especially that part about Bob Saget's, well, you know... If there is ever going to be a DVD, I wouldn't mind seeing all of the off camera R rated gags as an easter egg or something.

I agree with I Love The 80s, they might have hit the wrong button.

Does the episode "Our Very First Show" on Nick at Nite as seen about two weeks ago that they had a TV-PG?:)

They seem to mess up every show on Nick at Nite sometimes because The Cosby Show got a TV-Y rating before and that's the rating a show like Dora The Explorer or Blue's Clues is supposed to get the Cosby Show is rated TV-G

"Easy Rider" is airing on Nick@Nite tonight. We will se if it is rated TV-PG or TV-G

"IQ Man" wuz in early 4th season in fall of '90. he also "crotch thrusts" near some of steph's friends on her 10th birthday, & also "crotch thrusts" in the "please don't break the dinosaur" episode from 92-93 season aka 6th season in 93.

IMO the only shows on N@N that should be rated PG are: Roseanne, Three's Company, Wings, and Who's the Boss? and Cheers.

The others are more family shows than anything.

I agree. I dont even think Whos The Boss? really even deserves a PG rating, except for a few episodes.
I can think of a few episodes of Full House that might have deserved a TV-PG rating, because sometimes they would have little adult converstaions, such as the ones listed above.

True but WTB had alot of sexual innuendos and things, so it def. will get a PG rating more often than not, even the first Season had some G rated episodes IMO :)

ABC Family aired the same episodes that Nick at Nite had it with a few PG's including extended openings for seasons 1,2,5 and 7.:)

There were more TV-G ratings, but some episodes were rated
TV-PG.

I think a few episode of FH are rated TV-PG for a few mild sexual comments they make (such as a few ones listed above) and mild language, sometimes in the early episode they said the bad "D" word or "H" word.
