Last night Rasheed Wallace made his return to Portland after being traded twice from Portland to Atlanta to Detroit. Half the fans boooed him everytime he touched the ball.

I don't understand why these ingrads would boo my man Rasheed, after all he did for them. Detroit touched Portland and Rasheed had the last laugh. A great night for the former Blazer and future Knick.

I am a Knick fan and I have NBA League Pass, and I have been watching a lot of Pistons games since they got Rasheed, and I can't wait tell he becomes a Knick next year.

It's going to happen, Rasheed has made it clear he is going to be a Knick, there is already a deal for a sign and trade between the Knicks and Pistons for Kurt Thomas (who will sign a 4 year extension with the Knicks next week), Dikembe Mutombo and a player yet to be determained that makes the minimum this July. Don't forget the Knicks and Pistons GMs are former teammates with the Bad Boy Pistons.

I don't buy it. Rasheed Wallace for Thomas(above average) Motumbo(Over the hill) and somebody yet to be determined(who probably isn't worth a bag full of balls) and give him to another eastern confernce foe to boot?! Baloney I don't buy it.

Trust me, Rasheed will be a Knick next year. That is what ESPN and other NBA insiders have been saying for months. It is like Gary Sheffield and the Yankees. He wanted to be a Yankee, and the Yankees wanted Sheffield. Rasheed wants to be a Knick and the Knicks want him.

About a dozen teams have called the Knicks about Kurt Thomas. If Detroit doesn't want him, they could trade him and get a lot for him. Mutombo has one year left on his contract, they could trade him during the season to a team looking to clear cap room, or trade him to New Jersey and get some value for him, they want Mutombo back in the worst way. And as if Detroit as a choice, either sign and trade with the Knicks, or lose Rasheed and get nothing for him. If Detroit doesn't go for this, which I doubt will happen, the Knicks will tell Wallace, "We tried to sign and trade for you and give you the money you deserve, but Detroit won't do it, take the mid level exeption and tell Detroit to suff it."

And by the way Isiah Thomas has a little bit of Steinbrener in him.

Glad that Thomas isn't a jerk like Steinbrener!! Mutombo needs to retire!! Wallace needs to take the job and turning it down for a lot of cash is dumb!!

That's the thing, there is no way Rasheed who is in the prime of his career would ever take the mid level exception.

I am not saying that Thomas is exactly like Steinbrener, who sometimes pisses me off, not resigning Pettie, I am not over that yet. But he has the Steinbrener proactive attitude, he wants something, he gets it.

It seems to me that Knicks are becoming the new Portland Jail Blazers. Every talented player, that has had off court problems wants to be a Knick. First it was Rasheed Wallace, then Vin Baker, and in this morning's paper I read that Rod Strickland wanted the Knicks to pick him up, but never got a call from the Knicks (Knicks don't need any more guards, they need low post players). What is next, is Martha Stewart going to be the Knicks cateor?

And Isiah Thomas likes to pick up those sort of players, which is another Steinbrener trait, once and a while Steinbrener would sign players with off field problems like Darryl Strawberry, Doc Godden, and Steve Howie.

Granted, I would prefer and am hoping for a sign and trade to get Rasheed Wallace. The mid level exeption should be the b plan. But he can make up the money in New York, through endorsement deals, and it is only for 3 years.

But I don't think it will come to that, I really think the sign and trade will happen. Detroit did this once with Grant Hill.
