View Full Version : Why the Hell would the Knicks Players ask Allen Iverson if he...

was feeling alright when he missed 18 shots in a row? are they ********? Why the hell would they care if he was missing shots? You would think that the knicks would be normal enough to know that if Iverson had made those shots that they would have lost the game. ARE THE KNICKS REALLY THAT STUPID?

I don't know what you guys are talking about. All I know is that my Knicks have won two in a row.

And wait tell next year when we get Rasheed Wallace, we become instant Eastern Conference favorites.

Yes the Knicks are getting Rasheed, check out my "Portland fans boos Rasheed Wallace" post and you will see that a deal is in place for sign and trade this July.

LOL@Solomon hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I heard about the Knicks players asking Iverson if he was alright. What are they concerned about him for? LOL@Iverson shooting 2-21 from the field in that game. That's horrible. Iverson loves to jack up shots anyway. He takes a lot of terrible shots. That's why his field goal percentage is so low. The Knicks aren't gettin Rasheed & he would be a fool to leave Detroit. I don't know why Detroit has Rasheed playing center right now. Ben Wallace should be at center & Rasheed should be playing power forward.

I just never thought a team would feel sorry for Superstar who was in a slump

I'll tell you why he is leaving Detroit. Rasheed wants to play in the north east. His agent tried to sabotage any trade that did not involve the Knicks. He wants to be a Knick. The Knicks have Isiah Thomas, Stephan Marbury, and their celebirty fans, to woo Rasheed. If that is not enough, A - Rod and Jeter. Just kidding on that part. And the Knicks are the Lakers of the East (in terms of getting preferental treatment from the League), David Stern wants the Knicks to be good again,.

And giving the choice of playing in New York for a player friendly coach like Lenny Wilkens and an even more player friendly coach in waiting like Isiah Thomas, or playing in Detroit for a task master like Larry Brown. (according to todays prima donna players) Who is going to pick?

I don't even think Detroit wants him back. Next year Detroit is going to play the forign player they drafted last year. There is no room for that player and the two Wallaces.

I think if Rasheed does not come to the Knicks, it will be because he stays in Detroit. He is not going to a third team.

I think we all can agree, that there is no right answer. We will find out in July. But the Knicks are the favorites to get Wallace.

If you think I am crazy? There are much more crazy Knicks fans than me.

Some people here are saying the Knicks should to do a sign and trade for Kobe Bryant. The Knicks would trade Allen Houstan to the Lakers for Kobe Bryant. I think that is crazy. No way is anyone taking Allen Houstan, who is overpayed.

Allen Iverson is a punk and a wannabe gangster.

It's probably just a matter of time before he is in jail.

Sounds like you have a personal issue with him. Nothing do do with basketball. At least he is not showing positive for drugs. The only thing was gun possession and in the south over 60% of the people own registered weapons. Where did the punk thing come from. He puts it on the court every time he plays..he even plays hurt. He is what the nba should be on the court. Off the court is another story. If you dont like what he is off the court dont read the story. Most people dont want to hear about the charity..they want to read the police report.

Would it be strange if Rasheed wallace does not get into trouble while in Detroit.?

You'd have to be blind to basically not see that Allen Iverson is a thug. He was in jail in college, basically freed so there wouldn't be riot. He gets busted for gun possesion and assault.

He is a ball hog, shoots his brains out and makes under 45% of his shots.

And we should ignore his police record and everything off the court?

He's a real team player and upstanding citizen.

and your watching the SPORT OF BASKETBALL to evaluate a players off the court life.?

why not throw in the fact that his mother was on crack. I dont think he is a thug.. I know some real life thugs that dont talk about it on rap records like he did. Anyone can tell you..if your a killer you dont brag about it..you just do it. Don't let a basketball gangster cause you to confuse the two. He has never robbed a bank or held anyone up at gunpoint. I doubt that he has ever shot his gun. Maybe at a rifle range. jason williams (nets) is more of a thug than allen iverson..for that matter so is Marv Albert..he has worse of a police record than iverson.

Not at all.

Like I said, it's hard to miss the fact that he is a tool.

I don't like him and he doesn't have much to back him up in the character issue.

Add some ridiculous rap music about killing people and such, when we know how hard it is to have millions of dollars and not run and rant like a common street thug.

Are you some sort of fixated sixer fan ?
All is forgiven because he is a good ball player- is that your attitude?

I can tell you don't like RAP music. I am a NY KNICK fan. Maybe if you quit reading the news paper and cut off the radio you can figure out whats real and what is not. Braids, criminal record, rap music does not make you a thug. That is in my opinion. maybe where you live at these things are not common. I really dont know you to assume anything. I live in NY city.. I grew up here so unless I see someone open up someone elses insides I wont consider them a thug.

I live right outside NY, I've been going to the city since I was a kid.
I've seen plenty of violence in my day, I've even been mugged, and I'm not some sheltered person.

I don't need the radio or newspaper to tell me about life- I've seen it all right in front of my face and the fact I can tell when someone is a jackass is my right to express and my opinion.

Iverson's persona is a thug wannabe.

It's blatant and obvious and who the hell cares- I'm a Knick fan too.

What makes that father of 3..husband.....son to his crackhead mother a jackass.? the fact that he does not want to practice.?

This is getting stupid.
You jump to Iversons defense like he is your brother when it is a fact that he has been in trouble with the law since he was a kid.
I'm a thug, right, you are the one having a coronary over me badmouthing his questionable behavior

Iverson has a criminal record. That is where he gets my label of thug. He hangs around people with criminal records.

As a teenager, he was arrested in a Hampton, Va., bowling alley brawl in 1993 and spent four months in prison before then-Gov. Douglas Wilder granted clemency. The conviction was overturned on appeal in 1995.

In 1997, Iverson pleaded no contest to a gun charge after police near Richmond, Va., stopped a car in which he was a passenger and found a gun belonging to Iverson and two marijuana cigarettes. A marijuana-possession charge was dropped.

Iverson completed 100 hours of community service, two years of drug testing and three years' probation, after which his record was expunged.

What a winner.

and now he is a player for the NBA. A real role model for someone with his physical attributes. Pure Heart. He is my kind of guy. I hang around people with criminal records. Jumping the turnstyle as a child will get you a police record. I have been in bar room brawls while serving in the NAVY. I plead no contest to a gun charge because I didn't have the proper hunting permit. I am an advocate for the legalization of marijuana. I don't think you and I are arguing,. I think that because of our opposite enviroments we see the level of what makes a thug different. I can understand that.

Hey, I have no beef with you and yes people do make mistakes and maybe I'm making a big deal out of this, but Iverson just rubs me the wrong way. And I'm not a big fan of his game or his selfish style.

It's a difficult question.

No doubt he is a talented perenial All Star, but he seems to put himself before the team (ask Larry Brown) and until you can tell that winning at any cost is his priority, he just may prove to be a distraction rather than the great force he can be.

He though a talented player only cares about one person!! Himself!! Like any other sport there is no I in team!! It is a team effort!!
