View Full Version : How many men watch Will and Grace and if you do i would like to know why because i
TVFactFan 03-05-2004, 05:24 PM didn't think men watched the show. So just state your reason why because i thought the show was geared toward women. I just don't know any men who has a interest in the show. Now if you say because Debra Messing is Hot, that's a good answer.
*GoodMorningCalgary* 03-05-2004, 05:48 PM I watch it....not all the time, but I think its very very funny. I love Sean Hayes and Eric Mcormack, and I think theyre wonderful actors.
I watch "Will and Grace" becasue it is a funny, well written show. Plus they have a great cast.

I agree.... John Cleese is hilarious and when he guest stars -- he steals the show.
And about Debra Messing -- she's my least favorite part of the show.

and it's funny
Brian Damage 03-06-2004, 03:26 PM I've never fully got into Will & Grace for some reasons. I think it's ok, but I don't love it.
dlemond 03-06-2004, 03:31 PM It has been lacking a bit lately, but Will & Grace has some great writing that is performed to its potential by an incredible cast.

I agree. I think it's starting to wear a bit thin around the edges, but the cast is still great.
I especially like the recent addition of Dave Foley as Jack's new beau.
Sitcomwriter 03-06-2004, 03:57 PM I watch it but it's starting to rely too much on Mulally, Cleese, Foley, Driver and Hayes. I thought the show was called "Will and Grace"?

Yeah, they have been relying too much on weekly celebrity cameos the past few seasons.
RoseNylund 03-06-2004, 04:18 PM I am sure they are using the supporting cast more because Debra Messing is pregnant, and she had a little scare at the beginning of her pregnancy, so I am sure they do not want to overwork her.
As for this question about you not thinking men watch it? I would think a large number of gay men watch it. The last time I checked, they were still considered men. They might have an interest in the show. Maybe you meant to ask, "How many straight men?"

well, most W&G fans I know have said they'd still watch if Messing and McCormack left their own show and the show changed the name to "Jack and Karen". Megan is 10 times funnier than Messing, and Hayes is more charismatic than McCormack, it is similar to the Happy Days syndrome, once the show started focusing more attention on Jack and Karen, the ratings soared. Similar to how Happy Days got bigger and bigger once Fonz became the star instead of Richie.
Janice 03-08-2004, 07:57 PM I'm not a guy and this is off topic, but I am officially throwing in the towel with Will & Grace after last week's show.
I've been a faithful viewer since day one, but the show has changed too much for me. I counted the number of times I laughed last week...twice.
I've been feeling this way for a while about the show, but kept giving it another chance, but it's off my list now.
It has so many guest stars that it's ridiculous. Last week, they had Eileen Brennan, Dave Foley, Minnie Driver and John Cleese. The cast has swelled, and the show now is not the show that I fell in love with years ago.
Thanks for the memories Will & Grace, but I won't be tuning in anymore.
