where do i begin?
i started watching this show many years ago. i have seen alot. some of the highlights were:
all the stuff at doug's place. his marriage to addie. i don't remember seeing hope be born, but i did see it when addie was hit by the car. and when she died.
i rememeber when doug admitted that he was brent douglas.
doug and julies wedding.
of course the best will be him singing "danny boy" at tom horton's funeral.
he was so good. and it took alot of of my childhood away by killing this character.
i have lost a constant here on the tv. again.
thanks for all the good times bill.

I don't go as far back in the show's history as you do, but I am saddened to hear these veteran actors being let go.

I just got done watching Thursday's and Friday's episode...whoa...Doug's death was so sad. :( The scenes with Hope crying over Doug's body and Julie saying goodbye to Doug at the church were heartbreaking. It's so sad seeing someone who has been with the show so long die so violently.

I really hate Marlena now. I hope she dies for what she's done to everyone.

Doug and Julie the first Supercouple EVER, they even made the cover of TIME magazine. It's truly the end of an era. And the irony in that the first supercouple is killed by a member of a current one is deep, very deep. Kristian Alfonso and Susan S. Hayes did a WONDERFUL job in all their scenes Thurs. and Fri. And of course Bill Hayes pulled off yet another AMAZING performance. I know I'll miss him. :(

I remember Doug and Julie from way back. I always love hearing him sing "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" to Julie.

And him not giving up on her when she was burn in the accident at Maggie's farm.

Little Hope wanting a baby brother.

I will miss Doug. I hope Julie sticks around for awhile.

I do wish Bonnie would go away. A very annoying person.
Of course the actress playing her is doing a wonderful job to make her that way.

Good-bye Douglas.
