Why is Flody Suarez still being billed as an executive producer. I thought he was fired several months ago.

I guess they either forgot or didn't even bother taking his name off the credits! Wonder why they canned him? I feel really bad for Flody who I remember looked really heartbroken during the ABC Special dedicated to John :(

His production company logo, Flody Co, is not shown after the ending credits anymore. Instead we know see Tracy Gamble Productions, and we still see Shady Acres Entertainment and Touchstone Television credited.

Well, I guess it's nice they're keeping his name on the show at the beginning, anyway. He was at the hospital when Ritter died, and had to make many difficult calls, particularly to his long time friend, Henry Winkler. It was unfortunate he was fired. I hope things work out for him.

Was he fired or did he quit? Maybe he didn't want to work on the show without John.

They haven't been too clear on why he left, they just said that he was let go because of "creative differences." It sounds like all the executive producers were willing to go on after they got approval from the Ritter family. I will say though, he left at about the same time it was announced that David Spade would being making several guest appearences, though.

Just read your article and I see what you mean. Also wanted to point out that David Spade was among the media's rumors of a possible replacement, according to a TV guide article I was able to read at

left on an earlier thread. I'm merely speculating on the coincidence of his sudden departure at the same time of Spade's press release, but they seemed to be on fine terms beforehand.
