Good idea. I don't think people should be encouraged to eat more fast food.

they'll just change the names - a supersize will become the large, the large will becom the medium, the medium will become a small, and they will drop the current small, because its only a measly, what 20oz ? :cuss:

The only fast food is with Krystal's Bergers I just don't like McDonalds because their burgers are way too greasy!!

I don't like McDonalds because they serve you food that's been sitting in a bin for 10 minutes. I want my food made Fresh.

Hardees is a MAJOR culprit of that! I ordered a medium Coke there once some years ago (at McD's, a medium is 12oz) and I got a HUUUUUUGE cup...I'm afraid to order a large one now! :eek:

I think I'll just stop going to fast food places altogether if they ever do that.

That would be moi...Uggg. Now I only VERY occasionally drink bottled sodas...I prefer to buy by the can...that's more than enough for me.

I think it's a good idea. The reason so many people go to fast food restaurants is because they're, well, fast...and usually there's not enough time in our schedules. Usually the only fast food they can get is junk like that, so putting better foods on their menu is definately the right choice.

I am kinda of glad that McDonalds is getting rid the of "Supersize" I could never eat that many fries and drink that much soda to begin with....

I tried to become a vegetarian but failed only after one day!! But I was 16 at the time!! Can't live without meat at all!!

I cannot stand fast food. I cannot remember the last time I ate dinner at a burger fast food restaurant. I like Arby's--they don't serve burgers, instead they serve other sandwiches and roast beef sandwiches. Much better.

I personally love our Domino's. There food is really good.
They also bring it fresh to the door. The staff is always
so nice and clean. I've never been dipleased except once.
That one time I was unhappy I got a $10.00 gift certificate.

death I don't think they need to increase foods that are more likely to increase your chances of getting heavier.

Amen!! The Domino's here in my town rocks, too. Their place is really clean - been there before - and when we order out, they always bring the pizza fresh to the door. Once (I think this was in December), they accidentally sent the wrong order to our house, so they phoned us to tell us that they had sent the delivery guy with the wrong order to our house and to tell him that he'd gotten the wrong one, and that our correct order would be arriving shortly...We tipped the 1st guy big-time, because of what he had to go through, and the 2nd guy came to our house with the correct pizza, along with a coupon for free pizza. Talk about great service! :)

I remember when a burger cost 99 cents...that was in the late 80's. Now they're expensive. :p

I remember when McDonald's didnt' always have Happy Meals - they were somethign special that they'd have and they would offer a glass or somethign with them. They'd run them in a 4 week cycle and then not have them again for a long time.

My daughter doens't believe me...she thinks the Happy Meals are something that just happened to always be there!

I remember the endless Happy Meal ads when I was REALLY little, where the little kids would get their Happy Meals in those awesome cardboard boxes with the arches as the handles...I always thought to myself, "Why don't they ever give me one of those boxes every time I get a Happy Meal?"

Good idea. McDonalds is nasty. Their food is greasy and disgusting. You don't need to be eating huge amounts of it.

I agree, the only good thing Supersized fries were good for was sharing- say instead of buying 2 mediums.

And no one should ever drink that much soda.

I wonder if they checked with Mayor McCheese before making this decision.

Personally, I think it's stupid. No one is forcing you to get your food super sized.

That's the way that I feel too :) If you feel that you need to lose some weight then why not get a salad or go elsewhere. The supersize was way to big for me I always got a regular. When I used to work there, there was this very overweight man that would come there everyday and get a double quarter pounder supersized and order for his family. They would spend ike $30.00 a day for lunch! :eek:

who in their right mind would complain about getting your money's worth? If i order a med. and get a huge cup, then super yay, it was worth my dollar.

But I hope they change the chicken nugget value meal back to a smaller size. I used to get the value meal that came with 6 nuggets, medium drink and fries. Then they recently changed the value meal so you had to get 10 nuggets and I can never eat that much. So I would order a 6 piece, small fries and medium drink separately and it was MORE expensive. It's like they're forcing you to pay more to eat less. That's just not right!

well, taking away super-size meals actually has more hidden agendas than what you're thinking. A lot of people with bigger stomachs are not going to be full when eating a "normal" meal, so a few hours later, they will come back and order ANOTHER meal. Whereas they could just add 39 cents for larger fries.

Why do people complain about the size of food? If I am gonna eat, I wanna get my money's worth. Haven't you seen lots of spoofs of uptight expensive resteraunts that serve something so small you need a microscope to look at it? Supersizing a meal isn't the problem, all taking the supersize away will do is make the person order ANOTHER hamburger or order of fries. And if that's what makes them happy, so be it.

People treat the overweight like they're lepers, and it's disgusting. Being 10 lbs overweight is different than LIVING in a buffet table

The only things I have from McDonalds anymore are their milkshakes and their McFlurry's. I used to love this place as a kid but my tastes have changed since then.

Not in the United States. US resturants are notorious for giving customers way more than they can eat unless of course they are morbidly obese.

At BurgerKing there was a time when you could get a Whopper for half the price of a Whopper Junior. Not only that, but the Whopper was only 10cent more than the regular hamburger.

I personally liked the SuperSize fries. It saved the family from having to buy seperate orders of fries. My parents and I used to share the fries, there was enough in the SuperSize thing to feed the family. The 39 cents extra is a much better deal than buying multiple orders of fries.

Plus, I drink diet soda, so an extra-large Diet Coke isn't going to hurt me. If you're going to pay more for a small soda than the price of a 2-liter, you should have a lot of drink to go around.

McDonalds food is way too greasy period. I don't like fast food and try not to eat it, except for Subway. But people who are going to eat at McDonalds are not exactly health-conscious.
