I was just wondering if anyone was going to try and make it to Jamestown this year for the annual festivities?

Not particulary. For me, it's just a more convenient time to go since it's during summer vacation. I've had a lot of fun each time I've gone, but I'm sure the May festival is great too. :) I'd love to see Carolyn and Little Stevie, though! At least I got to meet Little Ricky last year. :)

I'd rather meet Little Ricky then Stevie anyway. I wonder who the 'mystery' guest is going to be?

It would be a thrill to see Lucie or Desi Jr. This will be my first time going, so I'm really looking forward to it! Is it easy on the wallet? Or should I bring my whole life savings?

You're lucky. I would bring alot of money just in case. You never know what you might see.:) (or at least a charge card)

Lucy things in Jamestown and even surrounding areas are NOT cheap (I bought a Lucy movie ad from Life Magazine in an antique mall last summer in a town about al half hour away for 15 bucks, while other ads with different stars were only about a dollar and a half). But then again, things sell because they know their audience. ;) So, I'd definitely make sure to have some money, but it's definitely worth it. :)

Wow, I live in NYC and it's not even that expensive here! THanks Lodee and Mag, I will definitely bring a couple of good ol' Franklins'.;)

Hi y'all!! I'm really looking foward to the reunion between Doris Singleton and myself as well as meeting any of you that will be attending the festival in May. Frankly I have no idea what to expect but it should be a real hoot. It was my earlier encounter with this site that made it all possible and for that I'm greatful to all of you. See ya there........

Lodee

And you get to meet Jim Bailey and Lucie Arnaz too! Have you seen Doris since you did that episode?

Stevie Appleby
04-06-2004, 03:54 PM
No I haven't seen her since. I've been doing a little research and found that Doris has quite the resume. I'm puzzled by the Jim Bailey connection to Lucy. Maybe you can help me. Have you (or anybody else out there) ever been to one of these festivals? What lies in store for me? I know we will be on a segment of "AM Buffalo" on Friday and a Q & A session on Sunday but in between I have no idea what to expect. I hope I don't have to dress up like Lucy at the masquerade ball!!

Hi, Steve, this is Laura. Glad I could help make this possible for you! Be prepared for signing a lot of autographs.... bring a couple of spare wrists! I've never been to a Jamestown festival, but if it's anything like the ones in California you're in for a treat. And LUCIE will be there, too, as well as Wanda Clark, you'll definitely have a blast. :)

I've never been to Jamestown either, but I'm pretty sure first timers have to dress up as Lucy at the masquerade ball! (just kidding)

Stevie Appleby

Uh oh, I'm worried about the autograph thing. I've recently developed severe carpul tunnel syndrome-no kidding it's true. I'm having a difficult time at work right now. But I'm going to therapy and doing everything possible to get myself in shape for the festival. I don't want to let anybody down or be perceived as some kind of snob. By the way this is NOT the same thing that Princess Diana died from. That was carPOOL tunnel syndrome.

No, I don't think she always goes. I think she's gone before though.
