This will be the last new episode for awhile. With only 7 more to go this season. This is one season, I will be glad when it`s over.

I figured the new episodes had to be coming to an end soon. I actually liked this season. I prefer it much more to last season.

With the exception of last week's Towel Guy episode, I too enjoyed this season.

I'm looking forward to next season and where they take the show after Leah's pregnancy.

Personally, I miss seeing Doug and Carrie physically interact with each other like the previous seasons.

I can't wait until Carrie's back to "normal".

The last episode, I couldn`t understand half of what Leah was saying.

Leah is a little more nasally due to her allergies because of her pregnancy. She can't really take anything medication either.

They need to get a bunch of air purifiers and hide them within the set.

She didn't seem to have much of a problem with her allergies while filming this episode.

Huntington,
Are you the spokesperson for KOQ's? I've looked all over this board and not a single critical comment from you. Do you really feel that this show is perfect? I like the show but it could be better. More consistency in the writing, better character development, and a bit less attention to the Carrie character since she's now more of an obvious distraction.
Are you going to shut down this thread too now that I've expressed my opinion?

Uh, no, I'm not the spokesperson. If I thought the show was perfect, I would always rate it 5/5 on the threads about rating specific episodes. I don't always rate it like that. You think I'm the spokesperson because I said Leah didn't seem to have much of a problem with her allergies in this episode? Ok...

And no, you are allowed to express your opinion, so there is no reason to close this thread. There was clearly a reason to close the other one. It was originally about Leah on Ellen and look what it turned into. If it hadn't been closed, it would have further caused more meaningless Leah bashing and personal attacks.

Huntington,
No, I didn't say that I thought you were a spokesperson for KOQ because of ONE of your comments. You didn't read my post. I said that I looked all over this board and all you do is defend KOQ countless times and don't seem capable of a real critique. Like I said, I like the show. It's just that I am not so blind with idolizing any character or actor on the show. You gotta admit that it is somewhat strange to have the Carrie character walking around with a huge belly and a fat rear end, and then act like nothing is new! Not only that but her stuffy nose is also a distraction to the show. It would seem to me that instead of being so defensive in protecting a person that you don't even know, maybe you should just try and see my point. I mean c'mon, she's not that great of an actress nor is she that great at comedy. Kevin James is the real talent of this show along with Jerry Stiller. I'm telling ya, when this show is over, Leah will fade like a cheap paint job.

If I see something about the show I don't like, I'll say it. There have been times over the years when I haven't liked certain episodes (There were several last season I didn't find to be all that great). However, I have been liking this season, and that is what most of my comments have been recently based on. All that you said about Leah is your opinion. You act as if all of it is fact. It's not. It's been said before (and I very much agree with it) that Leah is one of the main reasons the show took off in the first place.

Leah Remini is not the first and she won't be the last actress to be pregnant on TV when it's not written into the show. Susan St. James, Lauren Lane (there were actually JOKES written in about her being pregnant in real life but not on the show) - On "Days Of Our Lives" in the 80's Mary Beth Evans who played Kayla Brady went through 2 pregnancies not written into the show. There was one memorable love scene done with Stephen Nichols on the roof of their loft when MBE was 9 months pregnant, swollen face, huge body...and the scene was shot and aired as if she were 100 pounds.

If you are a fan of the show (which I wonder because of the posts I'm reading) you look past this stuff and wish Leah the best with her pregnancy and baby and wait for next season when she's back to "normal".

Nanny,
I do, like I said, enjoy watching the show. I've been watching it for a couple of years now as well as reruns. My critique about the show is my opinion. I just have a problem with the script avoiding the most obvious and distracting condition of Carrie. Not only that but her character was much more palatable in the first two years of the show. After that she has gotten to be so obnoxious and irritating that it takes away from me having any compassion for the character. The sneers and constant lip curls as well as her total self absorbed behavior has really turned me off. In the early seasons she was more of a compliment to Kevin's fantastic talents but sadly she has become more of distraction. Sorry if you're shocked that a "fan" can have an opnion such as I do but I call as I see it.

I have a great idea. How about you have your opinions and others have their opinions? It's not that novel an idea actually.

If someone doesn't want to criticize a show, big deal. There are shows that I watch that I don't feel the need to criticize. It doesn't mean I'm blind.

Just because someone doesn't agree with your views or doesn't want to knock a show or character that they love, doesn't give you the right to get on their case.

wasn't the woman who played Elaine in Seinfeld pregnant once or twice, and it wasn't written in the show.

It is strange to see Leah that big but just because she is pregnant in real life doesn't mean it has to be written in the sitcom.

I wondered if the writers would write in her weight gain in a couple of episodes. Wasn't it in season1 were Doug was implying that Carrie had gained some weight. that was funny.

Does Kevin James look like he has gain back the weight he lost?

Janice

The character Elaine on Seinfeld was pregnant twice. On Bewitched, Elizabeth Montgomery was pregnant when the show first started, and it wasn't addressed.

The characters on Cheers, The Cosby Show, Frasier, Sex in the City, Friends, Will & Grace...the list goes on and on.

It's a natural part of life, and most sitcoms don't call attention to it. As mature viewers, we're expected to suspend disbelief.

Yes, it appears that Kevin James has regained most of the weight. It's hard to lose weight, but even harder to keep it off. That's the real battle, keeping it off.

Well I for one find her pregnancy distracting. I think they should've let her hide more behind things like they've done with other pregnant characters before.

To see her pregnant and make believe that she's not pregnant is distracting...

Janice,
Once again the KOQ's ultra protective army goes in for the attack! Geez, you crack me up. Oh, and thanks for the biology lesson about pregnancy being a "natural part of life". Without such "mature" viewers like you I may not have realized that. And by the way, I have a "right" to say whatever I want in response to any other post on this board. If we all agreed on issues then this board would cease to have meaning. Another thing to remember about KOQ is that a higher percentage of men watch this show than females and as such I can promise you that her large butt and bulging belly IS distracting. I think it just comes down to this; you women want Leah Remini to be the main star of the show instead of Kevin James. Sorry, but she's just a vehicle for James to interact with. Without him she would suck, but on the other hand he could do very well without her.

Another smoke and mirrors tactic post. Throw enough BS around and maybe people will forget the original topic.
KOQ's ulta protective army? Someone's paranoid, and quite a nasty piece of work, I might add.
I wasn't giving a biology lesson. I simply wrote my thoughts on the issue of pregnancy in sitcoms. Don't twist my words into a pretzel.
You do have every right to respond to other posts. What is insane is that you took issue because Huntington doesn't criticize the show enough to your liking. Who are you, the board police? You have no right on earth to take issue with that. As I said, you post your opinion, and others will do the same. Who tries to bully someone because they don't knock a show? Oh wait, you do.
So, we women want Leah to be the main star of the show? I don't recall anyone saying any such thing on these boards, and if so, they didn't speak for everyone.
In addition to being a board monitor, you also do well in mind reading, not.

Janice,
You amuse me. Smoke and mirrors tactic? I call it as I see it. You lack courage in your often vague labels. You've tried to insult me by describing, in your mind, my behavior by using words and phrases in third person type statements. Words such as "mature", "someones paranoid" etc. are really a sad attempt to label me. Also, you seem to be confused about just what a "right" is. First you tell me that I have no "right" to be critical. Then, you say that I have every "right" to respond to other posts. Then you rant about me being "insane" and call me a "bully" and then, get this, you tell me once again that I have "no right" to take issue? Lady, you are really messed up!
Maybe you should get your head out of the cloud of Hollywood and come back down to earth. lol.

I wasn't being vague at all. I'll write it again so you understand it.

I think that criticizing Huntington for not criticizing the show is INSANE. Got that? I think it's insane, and I don't think anyone (that includes YOU), has any right to bully another for not knocking a show that they love. How many insults from Huntington on the King of Queens would satisfy you....5, 20, 50?

"Someone's paranoid" confused you? You thought I was speaking in third person terms? I'll clear that up. I meant you. Referring to a 'KOQ's ultra protective army' and stating that 'you women want Leah to be the main star of the show' is paranoid ranting.

Again, and read this slowly so you'll comprehend it this time. Everyone has a right to post their opinions, but nobody has a right to call someone out because they don't criticize a show. Then again, everyone has a right to make off the wall accusations, so you get a pass. I just happen to think it's nuts, and I've never read such a thing on this site before.

I post on sitcom boards, and if anyone ever complained that I didn't knock a show and asked if I was a spokesperson for that show, I'd laugh in their face.

I think they made a serious attempt to camouflage her pregnancy. She was wearing a black jogging suit on the bed with the laptop hiding her.
She wore two different long, oversized coats and was carrying a large gift for cover.
I noticed a few camera shots of her from just the waist up, and a couple of closeups. There were a couple of full pregnancy shots, but they were only onscreen for a couple of seconds.
I taped it, and watched it again tonight. I think that they're doing their best.
She's not that big anyway. She's bigger...but she just looks like she put on weight at this point. She doesn't have that bulging belly quite yet, but it's ready to pop. I can tell. :)

Yeah, but he should at least try. He looks like he could pass out any second. Jesus, he's unhealthy and people find Leah Remini's weight gain distracting!
