Don't mean to be rude here, but why can't Hollywood come up WITH NEW IDEAS?!? Instead of recycling old TV (and doing a lousy job of it!), come up with new stories and characters. Hollywood is still capable of telling a good Western (i.e. - Open Range)...why don't they do it more often?

Plus, the fact is that movie remakes of classic TV shows of any genre usually suck - the storytelling styles are too different.
