As for specialty DVDs, like concerts, I watch "Rockin; with Rick and Fats" (Domino) and "A Tribute to Rick Nelson" fairly often. Mannix, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Streets Of San Francisco, Hawaii Five O, etc. The majority of episodes on the Barnaby Jones DVD's are the edited for syndication versions which is not good at all but it is what it is. I have a collection of classic old movies on VHS tapes, I don't know exactly how many tapes I have but the number is in the hundreds. When it quits, I'm doomed. ebay has many listings of used VCR's for sale if you want to shop for a backup machine in case the one you have conks out. I currently have 3 VCR's that I use and have 2 more VCR's still unopened inside the boxes in case I need them. Some of my VHS collection are airings of Bowery Boys movies that I recorded from WGN TV Chicago in the 1980's. I also have on VHS quite a few of those movie serials that were made from the 1930's to the 1950's, my favorite serials are the ones from Columbia Pictures. Columbia made a total of 57 serials and I believe I have 48 of them. |
