I finally have season 2 to 7 on DVD.
The quality is Broadcast !!!
Yes I don't have to wait for Fox
to put those on the market
anymore specially when I knew
very well they wouldn't as the
market for it is getting smaller
every day.

UNCUT !!! Well Season 4, 5 and 6 that
I have are completely uncut and season 2, 3 and 7 are at 24 minutes
per episode which is way much better
than what you have anywhere in the
US and the quality is far superior than
any commercially produced DVDs at
4 episodes per Disc. Manufacturers
are known to cut corners here and there and most consumers believe
that because it is on DVD everything
is great. On one DVD you may put 2 hours
of video, beyond that it means they
have used a lower bit rate and the
quality suffers and who pays the price
for that ... the consumers as usual, the
very same people who very often kept
the series on the air with their high
degree of attention and interest for
the show.
I don't see HOW I am supporting the
problem ???
If you want a young executive, lawyer
and agents to decide on WHEN you
will finally see the complete series on
DVD then go ahead and wait and
believe me it is not sure that you will
ever see them on DVD.
Yes, MTM has a dying market, fans of
the series who were in their 30's and
40's are now gone or too old to purchase
it in general or don't even own a DVD
player. Younger fans are there too but
not enough to justify the investment
to transfer and mass produced them
for DVD media.
In other words, Fox will not produce
them simply to satisfy only a few thousands of fans across the country.
The fan club for such series is not
nearly as high as other old series such
as Star Trek.
Anyway, if you want to wait be my guest but you might be disappointed.
Take Care !!!

While I hate the idea of piracy, and would not support it by buying from dvdworld, the laws need to change.
If FOX refuses to make the rights available in a reasonable amount of time, the laws should change to make what dvdworld is doing legal.
