As I'm looking through profiles on AIM, I get a message on the bottom of the window that says "Warning: Links may contain viruses or trojans." I thought the only people that should fear Trojans were Greeks.

Good one Janice! But yesterday my McAfee virus scan told me that I had the Trojan virus. Probably got it through my email. But it was eradicated. If you have a good virus scanner you will be alerted to any viruses. I don't use AOL messenger. I use MSN.:D

That's because recently, a lot of viruses were spread through AIM profiles, for example:

- The New Years Party one (it says New Years Partayyyy 2003 and then gives you a link to click to see "pictures")

-The buddy picture one (it says I found [screen name]'s picture here HAHAHAHA)

-the one that says Whoaaa..look what I found, click here

And then there was also one that said for people to "check out the new camera" that they got..and if you got that virus, when you IMed people it would send them a link to see a picture of your "camera" and it would take you to this site that would give you the virus.

 I read that as "...the only people who should fear trojans are geeks." And I thought, well, yeah, I suppose.

Greg read that and by the end of the night had a thing in his profile that said "Remember, links may contain viruses or trojans" and you clicked on trojans and it took you to trojancondoms.com
