View Full Version : Jealousy
Bang A Gong 02-28-2004, 12:57 PM Is there anything wrong with jealousy?
I don't think so. It gives you passion. Keeps you healthy. Sure, it may make you bitter, but at least you'll be passionately bitter, right? Right.
What do you all think of jealousy? Is it good or bad?
Rhiannon 02-28-2004, 12:58 PM I often confuse my jealousy with pissiness. But I really don't think there's anything wrong with jealousy.

Jealousy is a weird subject for me. I used to think it was stupid, but now, I'm not sure.
It's a long story, but I have a really good friend from school who I'm constantly in competition with, and when she gets better grades than me, I guess I'm jealous. But sometimes, my jealousy is what keeps me motivated. :p Not sure...
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 02-28-2004, 01:07 PM I am the most jealous person I know. I get jealous over anything, and I agree that jealousy can also motivate me to compete better. Im not competitive when it comes to athletics and such, but I often find myself competing with myself or others than dont even know it. Im the kind of person that feels that if I cant have it, no one can.
Mijada 02-28-2004, 01:26 PM I think it's all part of being human. No one is perfect. We all get jealous at one time or another.
Janice 02-28-2004, 02:11 PM I've never been a jealous person, and I'm glad about that. I think jealousy is a negative emotion in the sense that it just doesn't feel good. If someone I knew hit the lottery, I'd be jealous, but overall, I'm happy with what I have in life.
Healthy competition isn't rooted in jealousy. I've competed for things throughout my life, but jealousy wasn't a factor.
I tend to be jealous when it comes to my husband, so I understand about romantic jealousy. I don't bother him, and he never gives me reason to be jealous, but if a woman has an eye for him, I see red.
Brian 02-28-2004, 03:22 PM I was once jealous over a girl. In 11th grade there was this girl that I had a crush on. This was big because she was in the same grade as me, which was a first considering that my other crushes were older than I was. I remember seeing here and another guy and he had his arm around her. For the first time ever I became jealous over a girl. I talked to her about it and I found out that not only was she not seeing him but that she was surprised that I liked her more than a friend. I don't think she ever had anyone like her that way before. She made me feel better. Unfortunately, she had to leave school because she had to be put in a group home.
Hollow 02-28-2004, 04:33 PM There's nothing wrong with it unless you take it way too serious. im rarely jealous of anyone, but when i am i just try to get over it instead of disrespecting them cause thats stupid and immature.
°Bubbly Blonde° 02-28-2004, 04:59 PM Jealousy is tragic. I dont believe in being jealous, I think it's a big waste of time and energy. I get jealous sometimes, like saying I wish I had her whatever, but I dont let it consume me. I've seen people get very ugly because of their jealousy, and it's just tragic...
EricIdlefan 02-28-2004, 05:00 PM I'm jealous of anybody getting all the credit and glory for themselves while others who really do all the dirty work and left to pick up that person and/or persons "mess" left out
I'm jealous of seeing good-looking people who maybe pretty on the outside but not "pretty on the inside"
I get jealous when somebody is a prima donna and thinks that they are better than thou!!
dawsongirl 02-28-2004, 10:56 PM If I thought jealously was a huge sin, I'd have to send myself to hell.
I don't get carried away with it, but I'm jealous of other people a lot. It's the ones that go insane with it and do drastic things...they have a problem.

If I were actually in a relationship, that would be my vice.
