View Full Version : Why I prefer to stay home and watch my new DVD instead of going on a Date Tonight
TVFactFan 02-28-2004, 11:26 AM I have a date tonight with this female i met on the way hme from work but i really want to reschedule because I just bought a new DVD. Now here is the reason. It's not a sure thing that I will have a good time when I go out with her tonight but there IS a sure thing that I will enjoy myself when I watch my What's Happening DVD with my favorite snack-LOL So i have decided to just go ahead on the date tonight and watch the DVD on sunday, but if I don;'t enjoy myself tonight I'M going to be PISSED. And I only want to postpone because it's a first date-you know how they can be
Brent88 02-28-2004, 11:27 AM LOL!

peter may 02-28-2004, 11:35 AM sitcom analyzer, i have been reading some of your posts the last few months (including this one) but have never commented, you do however come off as such a stupid moron and also a bit of a sad case.
When you come to choose between a date with a woman OR watching a dvd , what do u reckon the most logical thing would be???
Georgia's on my Mind 02-28-2004, 11:39 AM you are pathetic.

Let me explain again. I'm chossing between Two new things. A First DAte, and a New DVD i have not seen yet.
So if this was a date where we been out 4 or 5 times already then of course I would go on the date before watching the DVD. But in this case, there is not a sure thing that me and her will have a good time. That is the chance you take when u go out on a first date. What I'm saying is I don't like taking that chance when i have a NEW DVD staring at me-LOL Hope I made myself clear

I don't think anyone made you aware of this. Usually people are more important than DVD'S.

You are crazy Sitcom Analyzer. Not just this... but several of your posts over the last few weeks have just been crazy.
Like you couldn't find the edit button yesterday.
You don't believe opening and closing credits are part of a sitcom episode. :rotflmao:
You said "That's My Mama" is coming to DVD in 2006 with no proof whatsoever. :rotflmao:
I could go on and on.

Just by reading some of your posts, I already have a head start. If the show happens to become a hit, we can split the profits 50-50, and we'll be very very rich. :D

Well the DVD is about 8 hours long and the date is at 5pm so i decided to watch it tomorrow.
Mysty Eyes 02-28-2004, 04:12 PM Okay, some defense here...
First dates can be traumatic. Solomon just met this woman. He could have a great time; he could have a horrible time.
I personally have had some really awful first dates; I could barely wait for the darn things to end. It has been my experience that if you really have strong reservations about a particular date, you are going to have a miserable time while on the date. Power of suggestion, and all. Sometimes I wished that I had simply stayed home and watched TV.
Sooooo... For Solomon to be ambivalent about this date is really very ordinary. He seems to have made a good decision, IMO. Give it a try. But the hesitation on his part is not a bad or foolish thing at all.
As far as the Edit button situation goes: I used to have a WebTV. You browse on your television set. MANY of the buttons that are used on the computer are not available for use using these TV browsers. It can be quite frustrating for the user.
Give the guy some credit, for goodness sake. He's not always wrong, you know.

Not a woman...a female. They're different. Well, they'd have to be to want to date a man who'd rather watch a DVD than eat dinner with them.
And why, if you really didn't think you'd have a good time, did you accept the date?

Well I am glad to hear that nobody's perfect. I am not perfect. But my point is not to make an issue over something that will effect my personal life. I just got married recently to my Newfie boyfriend, an I am the happest girl on this thread. This gay marriage thing doesn't bother me because I don't try to make it an issue in my life. It is not important to me. Having a family, and being a good mother to my children is. And that my goal in my life!!
I hope I am not boring

Well if u report mine you better report other people too.
Brian Damage 02-29-2004, 12:59 PM Here's an idea, just ignore other people's posts.
Janice 02-29-2004, 01:23 PM Solomon started a thread asking for advice. What he got for the most part was a barrage of insults and ridicule.
When he fights back, people get offended.
For those who don't like his posts, ignore them.
