I heard though a canadian media outlet that Much Music might return to america in the near future. There are talks between Much Music's parent company CHUM Limited and Turner Media to form a partnership to distribute the canadian music channel to america.
CHUM, Turner Media discuss U.S. re-launch of MuchMusic

Broadcaster CHUM Ltd. says it is "in discussions" with an American group about a potential re-launch of its MuchMusic station in the United States.
CHUM was forced to reveal that talks have been held with Turner Media Group after a Tuesday report by New York-based media critic Jack Myers on a potential joint venture between CHUM and Turner on the all-music station.
CHUM said Myers reported "prematurely" on the potential alliance.
"While CHUM and Turner have been in discussions, no agreement has been entered into between the parties," the Canadian media giant said in a brief statement late Tuesday afternoon.
CHUM (TSX: CHM) | (TSX: CHM.B), which owns 29 radio stations, eight TV stations and 17 specialty TV channels such as MuchMusic, started up MuchMusic USA — an American version of its all-music Canadian channel — in 1994 in partnership with Rainbow Media Holdings Inc.
CHUM sold its 50 per cent interest in the channel to Rainbow in March 2000, and entered into a separate agreement that allowed Rainbow to continue using the MuchMusic trademarks and programming. That agreement expired last May.
Last April, David Kines, vice-president and general manager of MuchMusic and sister station MuchMoreMusic, said CHUM would search for U.S. outlets that could air CHUM programming.
I think this is great news, especially with what is going with censorship on MTV after the Superbowl.
