Wide receiver Terrell Owens will not be an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday after all. The N.F.L. informed the San Francisco 49ers yesterday that Owens would not be on the list of free agents because Owens and his agent, David Joseph, had missed the deadline to file the paperwork to void the final three years of Owens's contract with the 49ers.

As a result, Owens, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, remains under contract with the 49ers through 2006. But the 49ers, who have been unhappy with Owens and had expected to lose him to free agency, are now in a position to try to trade him.

That makes him less attractive to teams who could have had him and not given up anything.

As a result he will have to take less money because no one is trading for him and giving up big salary cap money.

Hmmm.. big cap hit and give SF a player?

That's likely.

Not.

Terrell Owens
Randy Moss
David Boston
Keyshawn Johnson
Joe Horn

They have so much in common

1. They put themselves first and foremost and act like they are a one-man show and not teamplayers!!(Ever heard of "There is no I in team!!??" and rub it through their egotistical head)

2. They have egos and attitude problems so big it would fill up all fifty states and the Canadian and Mexican Borders

3. They are like a "disease" to the team!! A cancer or better yet, AIDS!!

I just saw on Yahoo.com that Terrell Owens was traded to Baltimore. He's gonna make $17.7 million for 3 yrs plus a big signing bonus. These athletes be making some ridiculous money that they aren't even worth.

Give Kyle Boller some time, he'll develope. Especially with a guy like T.O. That'd be funny though if they sign Jeff Garcia.

I heard Peter King of Sports Illustrated say that Garcia will either end up with Cleveland or Tampa Bay.
