Hey, i did a trade with Him like about maybe 2 months ago and he is an great person to trade with.

I bought:
Popular season 1 & 2 on DVD from him. The qaulity of the DVD are great.

I also bought:
Jack & Jill season 1 & 2 on DVD and that is alos great. I got the tapes with in 2 weeks after sending the money

I tried trading with him but he stopped responding to my emails in the middle of setting up the trade. I can't stand it when some people do that! :mad:

you know what? I thought exactly the same. I asked this guy 4-5 times cause he listed something I needed and he refused to answer and I think it's rude. I had doubts from the beginning cause some things are weird and I also agree about Megan8787, that's more than just coincidence. Something seems indeed wrong here and I read in the past that andydvdmovie is a scammer. I'd never buy from TommyD or whoever he might be, it's too obvious he's not honest.

I trade with him and I was very happy with the Results. The qaulity of the shows were great. So if you have not traded with him and you already think he is bad, then you are missing out. and yeah the many names are werid, but he is still a great person to trade with. :wave:

I didn't read any bad mouthing here. What I understood was the oddness of having many usernames, and other people's personal experiences with you, or knowledge of you and your trades etc..and some were quite positive and sincere.

A trader check is good. And I welcome people to come out and speak. And I'll agree no one should bad mouth a trader they've never personally enountered before. However, it is nice to know and learn of your dealings or anyone else's for that matter, with other trader's via e-mail responses or lack thereof...lack of consideration, time-constaints or dis-interest in the trade proceedings altogether...

Lastly, if someone asked about Beavis, fine. Check my references. If someone said.."Beavis is suspicious, because I "heard" he doesn't reply to e-mails" etc... :lol: then they should have evidence supporting this and/or allow the accused to defend themselves or clear the air...

I never said you were really bad to trade with so I have no idea what you are talking about. I wasn't bad mouthing you either. I just think your trading habits are kind of strange. I really wanted to trade with you because you have a lot of good shows I wanted but I guess you didn't want to trade with me. If you didn't want to trade, you could of e-mailed me and told me so I would know what's going on.

Thanks everybody for your input. I have decided against this purchase because of very specific facts that make me leary of the deal.

The main reason is that nowhere on any of the "have" lists are the two shows that I was offered - which is The Nanny complete series & Designing Women - complete series. This could be an oversight on his part - not saying he is a scammer -

Also, initially the price for the entire series on dvdr was quoted at $240.00 + $$ if I wanted menus. I said that is too steep for me and most people on the sitcoms site charge either $4-5.00 per dvdr. Then he told me he would sell it to me for $140.00 and that would include menus. I tried to work a trade - he said he was may be interested in getting dinosaurs from me - and asked if I included artwork, etc...I told him no and then he sends an email that states "So, do you want to buy any of these"...and that was the end of our transaction. Oh..the other thing is that he is in quite a hurry to make a deal...as he wanted me to use msn messenger because it is "faster". I was beginning to feel a little pressured. I think between 3-5 emails went back in forth within a 30min time span....

I have done searches on google & sitcoms for all of the names & emails associated with this person - and - the people just registered today who have come to his defense and came up with nothing. The grammar, style, etc contained in the post by Megan is identical to TommyD's writing style in the emails I received. Again...probably just a coincidence - but - too much of one for me.

I'm not bashing - just stating the facts as I see them. He has lots of posts on this site, but - I can't find anyone other than the 2 "new" people who have traded with him. Seems odd to me 'cause I know lots of the old timers here are willing to give newbies a small first trade to get started...???

I KNOW this is the anydvdmovie guy now. He did the same thing, said he had shows that weren't on his list, charged realhigh prices...Nice to see he's back at it :rolleyes:

Yikes! I'm glad I dodged that problem...if it is the same person. I would think that is someone is a scammer - they would do better to charge the going rate for stuff instead of asking for wayyy too much money - 'cause it makes people suspicious.

His prices are $40.00 per season for either of the 2 shows I wanted - on dvd - or $240.00 for the entire series. Or - $25.00 for each season on tapes and/or $150 for the series on tape.

Does that sound familiar???

The truth is that I have never done a full trade with anyone. That is why nannyfan you could not fined anyone that has trade with me before. And Yes Megan & BuffyRocks! i did make up, only beacuse i was scared that everyone was going to think im a bad person to trade with. All the shows listed in my have list are what i really have. I was just sick of getting ripped off by so many ppl, All the trades i have done, i have gotten ripped off. I have never gotten one good traded. I would send first and never here from the person again. As for the prices of the DVD i saw ppl all the time charging reallyhigh price for DVDs so i thought that is how you do it. as for me being the anydvdmovie i'm not I don't even know who that is. I have just started trading like last sept. because of my older brother pasting away and it was just something to do to past the time. But everyone keeped ripped off and so i don't know. I know i did something worng, but everyone makes mistakes and now I am apologizing for my worng doings. I'm sorry for all the confusion, and to everyone. I will understand if no one wants to trade but them i have all these shows just siting & wasting away. sorry aging ang hope you all can for give me.

TommyD - where are you finding people to trade with? Under what screen name did you set up the trades and on what trading board/site? If you have done so many trades, even though you were ripped off, then you must have a history somewhere?

sure glad i put 2 & 2 together! now, trade at your own risk...and tommyD...i would suggest you send first if you want any credibility here or at ezboards message boards. And also...a price change would sure help you get rid of those tapes. your asking price is rediculus. It costs 1.00 for a vhs tape 3.00 for 3 vhs tapes and so on...and only 1.85 to ship 3 vhs tapes media mail...so how can you charge so much? same goes for your dvd-r's

so send first, or you wont get any type of business because no one is going to trust you now. you say you have been ripped off in the past...but i think the Pam mables days are over...and she was the main person who was scamming. I think you can trust some of the traders here such as Beavis and Nannyfan because they have been here so long without complaints...so that would be good reasons to send first

Long story short, I got burned $120 long long time ago.. "yeah I want these shows, how much..okay, I'll send you $120 etc..."

You know what? :mad: :eek: :( :rolleyes: get my point?

I was livid! Then I come to sitcoms online and "read the postings and do searches here" go to the other forums here on the 80's and 70's sitcoms, and look for familiar long-timers and usernames...folks who have long standing here... then I look at their HAVE lists etc.. and then I see others recommending them etc.. so it makes it much easier to "get into trading" with these folks, like Nanyfan, Nannyfine, Agent 13, Tubel, secret defender, and others here (sorry if I forgot who you are LOL) Although I committed months to contribute here regularly, we've earned some trust here with these folks.

Once I see that others have made good trades, I know I can trust them even though I've never done trades with them.. so, you start posting here and contributing here and there, and start a rapport with other members, and they earn your trust and vice versa, so whenyou see these "newbies" pop in with huge lists and they just registered etc... it makes you cautious when they chime in defending these other members, etc...

So the best thing you've done is come clean. You haven;t dimished yourself in my eyes, since most sumbags continue the charade, and create more usernames and more email accounts and more lies and more scams etc...

So welcome and go with your instinct next time...many folks here are good people and traders.. send first and you'll be rewarded. trust me.

They're all on VHS at the moment.. I'm slowly, but surely am converting them to DVD's as with my 90210.

Personally for 90210? I loooved Breand Walsh, aka Shannon Dougherty, so to me, when she left the show, that's when I STOPPED taping it. LOL :lol: it got ridiculous after she left, so to me, I have and offer the "Brenda Walsh Years" LOL

As for Melrose Place I belive I have every eipsode for like the 1st 3-4 seasons, and that too, got me bored after a while.. LOL Some people have to have that complete show... I do not. for me it was 3-4 sasons was enough, but I haven't catalogued them yet...

Same with my Alice and Mama's Family I know I have like 70-80+ episodes of Alice and Welcome Back Kotter etc... but they're on tape, which I need to transfer, etc..and my The Fugitives! etc... so it will be a month or so until I can break free from work and sit down to actually catalogue my episodes and # of epidoses and record them either on SP mode or LP mode...either way I would want to have the best video quality as possible..so give me some time on that one LOL :wave:

When I first started, it was a bit nerve wracking sending first, which is why it's best to just send a few tapes so you won't be out too much in case of a problem. I deal with lots of traders that trade just a few at a time, which is easier on my nerves anyway. :D

However, awhile back someone contacted me out of the blue with master copies of the complete sets of The Flintstones and Jonny Quest. He was willing to send first, though we'd never done a trade, and to tell you the truth, I'd never heard of him.

He came through, as did I, but I was amazed that someone would go ahead and send such a large number of tapes to someone he'd never dealt with. I'm glad he did. :D

you better be aware what you're saying...you're really weird you show no behave and you're not honest. And stop claiming no one wanted to trade with you - you posted lots of threads here and never replied to my several questions I guess you'll have good reasons for that... Also you sign in here with two different ID's to defend yourself I must say that's really nice :rolleyes: If you like it or not here are people who watch out for each other to expose potential frauders. And that's not badmouthing that's my opinion

While it is against the rules to use multiple IDs (subject to banning), sometimes I don't think these posters realize the ramifications of doing so until it's too late. He knows now and has already agreed to send first which is a good step.

Incidentally, when I first started on this board, every person that contacted me for a trade expected me to send first. Go figure.:crazy: It took awhile before I'd established a decent reputation to where that wasn't required. It takes time, that's all... One small trade at a time.

Hi, I have a trade going with him! I sent! ummm...Im like err cuz i dont know what to think about him now! But will be trusting. We/I waited until he said he was ready to send .So we would send at the same time. He was nice to me as i remeber. Ok he is a bad trader! He is calling off the deal cuz he said I told him I had Run Of the House and Great quilty tapes! Thats not true! We Where trading 4 7 AYAOTD? tapes,2 Hey Dude, and 1 round House tape! He was going to give me 10 Saved By The Bell tapes! So He was talking about send some back and i was like u called off the deal send them all back! Ok and I never say I have great quilty cuz I have the lines on my tv now.Dont think I did on his trade though. And the color on my tv is messed up!(the red line/fad thing) And well and just because the shows are old and have some wear! But I have ok quilty stuff is what I claim. and also watch about the 1st 10-30mins of the tape b4 i send. I even yesterday redid a tape cuz it recorded badly!
