Has anyone seen the trailer for 'The Ladykillers' with Tom Hanks. I cannot wait to see this. It looks so funny. I think he's one of the greatest actors of all time. Anything he does is just great!

LucyCompanyPhan 02-26-2004, 12:37 AM I saw the trailer and didn't think it looked too funny, but I really like Tom Hanks so I'm willing to give this a chance. Not to meantion the Coen brothers are doing this film and I absolutely LOVED their last film Intolerable Cruelty with George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones. One of my favorite romantic comedies ever. Great movie EricIdlefan 02-26-2004, 06:11 PM He is awesome at anything and very versatile!! Crimson and Clover 02-26-2004, 08:59 PM It does look really funny isiahthomas 02-28-2004, 01:04 PM LOL@Irma P Hall slappin Marlon Wayans on the previews hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Van_Smack 03-10-2004, 06:15 PM I'm looking forward to this one. I think Wayans and Hanks will make a funny combo. EricIdlefan 03-11-2004, 04:12 AM It will be a huge hit for Hanks since he is one of the film industry's most bankable and most well-liked stars. isiahthomas 03-11-2004, 11:00 AM Tom Hanks cracks me up on the previews when they show him 3 different times laughin. Van_Smack 03-11-2004, 01:25 PM Hanks is a very bankable star. I think Wayans will benefit greatly from working with him. Especially under the direction of the Coen Bros, this film will probably be very funny. felicitylen 03-11-2004, 03:12 PM Originally posted by Van_Smack I'm looking forward to this one. Big Lebowski is one of my alltime favorites, can't wait to see what the Coens have in store for us this time. webuster 03-13-2004, 07:55 AM Does Tom Hank's character have a southern accent? In the poster, he reminds me of Anthony Hopkins playing Kellogg in 'The Road to Wellville'. Rhiannon 03-13-2004, 01:02 PM This movie looks soo good! I love Tom Hanks. Every movie he ahs ever done has been great. Vote for me in the second primary! From the previews I've seen, it sounds like he does. That's an accent not all actors can do but Hanks sounds great. I read that he learned how to do a southern accent while Forrest Gump was being filmed. He learned it from the boy who played the young Forrest. I don't know if it was a southern accent, though, but it was from Alabama. Dean Winchester 03-17-2004, 07:51 PM I am glad to see Tom Hanks in an actual comedy, probably the first one since YOU'VE GOT MAIL. He seems to have forgotten that it was comedies that made him a star in the first place, seems like all of his movies are dramas nowadays, Philadelphia may have given him his first Oscar, but it was movies like Splash, Big and Turner & Hooch that made him a star in day one However, it's kinda sad seeing the previews because now he's definately an old man, lol Rhiannon 03-17-2004, 09:46 PM Originally posted by webuster Does Tom Hank's character have a southern accent? In one of the trailers he says something like, "I'm not absolutely positive I head anythin' atall." and the way he says 'atall' sounds verry southern! |
