I grew up on The Flintstones and think it's a classic. That's the only must-have for me. After the Flintsones, I'd rank the rest: 2.http://216.218.203.229/news0/JetsonsS1.jpg 3.http://216.218.203.229/news0/ScoobyDooWAY_S1_S2.jpg 4.http://216.218.203.229/news0/JQS1.jpg Interesting covers. If you take out Rosie from the Jetsons cover, each cover has four human characters and a dog. ClassicTV4Ever 02-25-2004, 01:59 PM The Jetsons :) bry 02-26-2004, 07:57 PM Interesting covers. [/B] that is because the pet of choice during the '60's was a dog. now in the '00's it is a computer.  barwars 02-26-2004, 08:15 PM Im getting: The Jetsons - Season 1 The Flintstones - Season 1 Scooby Doo, Where Are You? - Seasons 1&2 Not in that order, but if they came out on the same day.... that would be the order. barwars 02-26-2004, 08:20 PM Has anyone noticed the variations between covers on various websites. For instance, here's "Scooby Doo, Where Are You - The Complet First and Second Seasons" pic from amazon.com.... http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0001CNQVM.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg barwars 02-26-2004, 08:25 PM and here's their version of "The Flintstones - The Complete First Season" barwars 02-26-2004, 08:28 PM After looking at all of the pictures, and hearing about the "packaging resembling an actual frame of animation".... I think the boxes with the entire black border is the *"final"* artwork. I think they all look great in the black borders. And if it weren't for the steap price.... Id consider "Johnny Quest" too. vashti1999 02-26-2004, 10:31 PM Originally posted by barwars88 After looking at all of the pictures, and hearing about the "packaging resembling an actual frame of animation".... I'd noticed the recently announced Jonny Quest and Jetsons covers had the black borders and thought it'd be nice if they changed the Flintsones/Scooby Doo covers to the black border 1)so that the Golden Collection series would have a uniform look and 2)the black border package just looks nicer. ILuvZackMorris 04-21-2004, 10:30 PM Definitely THE JETSONS! The show is only on Boomerang (which luckily my cable company gets with the digital cable service which I have) and sometimes I don't catch it at the very beginning when it airs daily @ 12:00 Noon cause I'm usually watching the saved by the bell reruns on TBS. vashti1999 05-10-2004, 01:48 AM The Jetsons and Jonny Quest first season sets go on sale this Tuesday, May 11. ILuvZackMorris 05-10-2004, 01:45 PM Heads up - My circuit City ad has Jetsons for $34.99 Best buy has it for $52.99 Does Best buy meet other ads if you bring the ad? Johnny Quest is like $44.99 or $49.99 (circuit city) and $52.99 (Best buy) dlemond 05-10-2004, 02:20 PM Best Buy sucks for DVD sets. You'd think having good prices for most regular DVDs that they would be consistent, but that is not the case. W.J. Griffin 06-12-2004, 08:58 PM Well, don't buy any of these at FYE either...I got soaked for sixty-five bones getting "The Flintstones"... (on the other hand, there ARE twenty-eight episodes on this collection, plus all the extras, so I can't complain too much...) Mikado 07-09-2005, 08:18 PM None, i only buy anime~ |
