Does anyone else think that Ben has been dead since his last episode in a few years ago. I personally think his "trip around the world" was just a metaphor for death. Anyone else?

It wasn't the old guy, it was Ben.

If you noticed, after JD commented on the cardiac arrest, Ben never spoke directly to anyone but Dr. Cox.
