Speaking of police officers 2 of them were killed in the line of duty a couple weeks ago here in Detroit. Some punk that they pulled over got out of his car and shot the both of them right there in the street. The male police officer was only 21 and the female 26. The funeral service was huge and other police officers from all over the country and Canada came to pay their respects. One of the officers father is trying to get a law passed that would give cop killers the death penalty. I sure do hope it goes through.

I agree that cop killers should get the death penalty, but I do
think that the state should adminster that penalty, not citizens.

That is not the reason that you should become a police officer,
in my opinion. If you are going to be one, it should be because
you want to protect and serve the citizens of your city. If all you
want to do is kill people, your local police department does not
want you as an officer. You would be too much of a liability.
EricIdlefan 02-27-2004, 07:00 PM I could never become a cop and/or any other law enforcement because I hate guns(got them from MacGyver!!) & I don't want to die!! Plus I am too sensitive and get hurt so, so, easily!!

Mine are across the street from each other and 5 mins away. And I agree...Wal-Mart is not the kind of place I wander around in looking to see if anything cool is on sale. I find what I need and get the hell out before someone pisses me off...which sometimes is in the parking lot before I even go in...

I'm with you. Unfortunately, I shop at Wallyworld because of convenience, too. The closest Super Target is an hour away, now if we had one near here...
When I go up north for my job, I just love shopping at a store named Meijer's. They're mostly in OH, MI, IN & IL. It's like Wal-mart Supercenter, but better. I've been bugging them to start building some here in FL. If they did, I would never shop at Wallyworld again.
Get In. Get What I Need. Get Out. That's me. Got my list and I don't "lallygag".

Wallyworld is not at all like Disney land and Targe though less variety are very helpful and very considerate of the customers but Wallyworld I try to stay away from1!
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to compare Wal-mart to Disney or Target. Wallyworld was something a friend of mine started calling it years ago, and I just started calling it that. I agree, Disney may be rather pricey but you can't beat the customer service at any of their parks. And I am a stickler for good customer service!! Then don't ask me why I still go to Wal-mart!

We used to call it Wallyworld too.
EricIdlefan 03-10-2004, 12:02 AM I try to avoid Wal-Mart too after getting terminated and at the Wal-Mart will become a supercenter and will run grocery stores out of business due to their large variety of stuff which the grocery industry hates it when the "800 pound gorillia" comes in!!

Sorry if I confused you Hannah Lee but I used to work there and when I was terminated other people with whom formally worked there do their best to aviod Wally-world because the management there is awful and they are firing and/or other workers are quitting eight people a month ever since I left and the employees endure very, very, strict rules and get chewed out for even the smallest things like smiling and being nice!!
MandieR1980 03-10-2004, 12:25 AM I call Walmart "Analmart" I sure do miss www.walmartsucks.com

Wal-Mart philosophy:
Get In. Get What I Need. Get Out.
I don't think I've spent more than 10 minutes tops in one (Unless the lines have been a pain) in I don't KNOW how long (The nearest Super Target is 2 hours from there, and the nearest Super Wal-Mart is 20 minutes, so, really, it's a conveinience (and gas) issue)
 :clap
That's what I think too. I rarely even go to Wal-Mart(my parent's go most of the time). I only go if I A. want a headache and want to get mad or B. I have too, and if I have too, I know what I want before I get there. You can walk to Wal-Mart(or Walley World, we call it that too) from here. In fact, I can see it out my window right now.

Try Walmartwatch.com. I think it's still running.
MandieR1980 03-10-2004, 02:12 PM I just tried that link that I put in and it came up with a message board. Not the same as it was before but still good to bash LOL
EricIdlefan 03-10-2004, 04:59 PM Wal-Mart has been bashed ever since Sam Walton went to his grave!!:(

That's funny because our town has 2 Meijers and we can't wait til spring because we're getting our first Walmart! I guess you want what you don't have. You're right about Meijers being nicer though. Although I think Walmart is cheaper.
EricIdlefan 03-10-2004, 06:43 PM They are everywhere and will continue to run other places out of business!!
