I'm not talking about carefully cultivated stubble or those ring around the face not-much-more-than-stubble thingies. A friend of mine drew Remus and Sirius (of Harry Potter fame) with facial hair after there was much negative reaction in an LJ community about the fact that they cast Gary Oldman! as Sirius! With a OMGBEARD!

I wonder if it was just my olditude showing but dangit, I like facial hair. Real facial hair. Real moustaches. Real beards. Real moustache and beard combos. If I was a man I'd probably have a twice-braided Gimli number. While it's growing, I guess I could hang beads like Jack Sparrow.

Chico's (and Freddie's) 'stache fit the bill. I always wonder what he'd look like now if he was still living and I think... would I miss the 'stache or would I think har har, look at the pushbroom! Nah. Before I was old enough to date I thought I'd marry someone with facial hair (hubba hubba!)

Someone on here did up a pic of Freddie with a beard which they did a good job on. It was really interesting. It's posted in one of the old threads here. I like him with his mustache. Very suave looking...

My mom tells me I was terrified of my uncle, who is Hispanic and has a HUGE beard, when I was little. But look at me now LOL-- lovin' not only Freddie but lots of Latins (and other darker types), and guys with mustaches or beards in general!

Every guy I ever dated had at least the beginnings of a mustache hee hee! Hubby had a mustache when we met, grew a beard when our oldest was a baby.

As for those beards/mustaches that just go around the mouth, I didn't think I liked them either, until Ronnie Dunn (of the country band Brooks and Dunn) shaved the sides of his face LOL! Then there was that pic of Freddie that Cheryl mentioned--Lucky put one of those beards on him and it looks fabulous!

And now there is my other Dark Angel....not to mention the couple of pics we found (on Live Theatre Gang's website)--and posted here somewhere--of our dear boy Laz with a beard like that!

A beard is a beard, and most guys who have one look pretty sexy IMHO!

Yes Mustaches and Latinos are so good together. I have seen and known several with that awesome combination! It just makes the man! I think... My husband has a mustache and sporting the handle bars mustache. He likes watching American choppers and seeing Paul Sr wear the type gave him that Idea. He does look good But Latinos look better with the facial hair!!!

I love guys with both... my hubby has them both... the only thing is I don't like it if it is too bushy, hubby did that mountain man look once.... I had him trim it back! LOL

The thing I love about Freddie's facial hair almost as much as that mustache are those HUGE sideburns!!!
They weren't as apparent, because they were usually covered up by that gorgeous mane of hair, but when Freddie would run or turn his head quickly, they would peek out! :D OMG! So sexy!!!

I agree Karen..between the sideburns and the beautiful hair, who could ask for more? Of course...there were the incredible eyes and dimples...etc etc. I think you get the picture.

I too am a sideburns lover. Mike had nice long sideburns. One had gotten longer than the other one making them look lopsided. So his cousin decided to correct them sadly by trimming them off claimiing they would grow back. I can't wait for them to grow back!!!! I love longish/long hair on gusys & wish Mike would grow his out...

Here is a pic to show you how Freddie would look clean shaven..as far as I'm concerned...he is HOT either way.

I don't like facial hair, and of course thought Freddie looked great with a moustache. I really like the picture of him w/o the mustache.

I do think the side burns look good on Freddie, in my book, no-one could pull off looking so cute with side burns. I like my men clean shaven. :happyface

Karen, I was just imagining running my hands through Freddie's side burns. OMG! Yes that is so sexy on Freddie going from his side burns to lightly touch his adorable mustache!!!
