Ha! Best Jinny look ever. I'm so excited, and why the hell do they make us re-watch eps every other week? *sigh*

View Full Version : Baby?!?! *Marilyn Monroe* 02-22-2004, 11:02 PM Ha! Best Jinny look ever. I'm so excited, and why the hell do they make us re-watch eps every other week? *sigh* Bang A Gong 02-22-2004, 11:04 PM Here is how it went at my house: DOCTOR: ...Baby. JINNY: Baby?! ME: BABY?! I was shocked. I didn't know they were going to start the entire pregnancy line in tonight's episode. She sounded angry/shocked when the doctor said that. I twitched in anger. I don't want her to be pregnant. My god, she was wearing pink in the beginning of the episode! Now she's pregnant? This just isn't Jinny. Her character is ruined. wingedorange 02-22-2004, 11:04 PM "BABY?!" Heh, that look was classic. consentida 02-22-2004, 11:12 PM That scene at the end was cute. This is gonna be quite interesting... Swimfan85 02-22-2004, 11:23 PM and then seeing Magdas reaction....lol funny stuff...should be interesting (similar to some fan fics.....which dont seem to be addin...) #1_Nancy_McKeon 02-23-2004, 12:01 AM Originally posted by Swimfan85 and then seeing Magdas reaction....lol funny stuff...should be interesting (similar to some fan fics.....which dont seem to be addin...) Magda, CD, and Nate's characters have been ruined, why not throw in Jinny, too? I swear, it's like they are TRYING to flush the show down the toilet. *Marilyn Monroe* 02-23-2004, 01:19 AM People do change in 4 years, guys. Maybe not this drastically, but this is why The Division is called a drama. It's "our" lives and stuff "we" go through, times 10. (I put those in quotations because they target adult women, and I don't think most of us qualify as adults yet.) InspectorExstead 02-23-2004, 02:05 AM I agree....that was by far, the best Jinny look ever. I wonder what would have happened had Hank not left. Wow....this is going to be quite interesting. Jinny's not exactly ready for motherhood just yet. She's barely got her life in order and boom-baby. (BTW...next Sunday is The Oscars, which starts at 5 pm, so I'm guessing Lifetime, like they did on superbowl sunday, decided not to show a new episode, for fear that ratings would be low...especially when dealing with jinny's baby.) NancyTracey&Jon 02-23-2004, 10:26 PM ALl I know is if Jinny leaves the show temporarily to take care of her baby, then I'm pretty sure that the show will end, and she won't be able to come back when she wants to. I mean after all, she is one of the most important characters. The one everyone watches TD for. I mean look at all the shows shes' been in. LOTS. And Tracey is another one people tune into watch. And she's already gone. I KNOW ratings will drop drastically once Nancy leaves. MARK MY WORDS. Also, how will they work it so Nancy takes leave when her baby's born? I mean after all, she just found out she's prego on the show, and she's already 8 months or so! They need to work there timing better. At least do it BEFORE she gets pregnant, or AFTER, since they couldn't time it when she got pregnant, cuz it was after the finale. Also I think it would be kool for Jinny to come to work with her baby which would actually be Nancy's!! hehe And her baby could be a early star as she was, and have a nice little nest egg, for whatever her child wants to do with his/her life. UNLESS she wants to keep them from the public, and put a mask on its face like Micheal Jackson does with his kids! lol j/k Nancy would NEVER do that! Which I think is dumb. Doesn't he realize his kids are suffering MORE, when he veils em like that? Geesh!! I ended up stopping watching it just for Tracey. And I'm thinking that with the crummy timing, seeing as how OBVIOUSLY Nancy is pregnant, it really isn't being written into the show. I'm thinking that it's just a coincidence. If Nancy's and Jinny's pregnancies were going to coincide, Jinny should have found out that she was pregnant in the season 4 premiere. Swimfan85 02-24-2004, 03:51 PM Originally posted by #1_Nancy_McKeon Yeah, I can't believe Michelle could leave people hanging like that! yah, the nerve of some people;) dovesong 02-26-2004, 06:03 PM Originally posted by #1_Nancy_McKeon Yeah, I can't believe Michelle could leave people hanging like that! Here, I sit, perfectly innocent, minding my own business, not bothering a single solitary soul and BOOM!... just like a smack in the face.... Man, you think you know who your friends are, but just turn your back for one instant... I tell ya...:p I think that Jinny being pregnant will be great... but I think that scene lacked something... he just added that as an afterthought walking out of the room.... for effect it should have gone something like this: (While he's still standing facing her, not as an afterthought) Doc: Mild concussion. Got home, get a few days rest, you should be fine. (Jinny putting on her jacket, not really paying attention now) There should be no harm to the fetus; however, if you begin to experience any complications, you should definitely make an appointment with your OB, ASAP... Jinny: (taking the paper he hands her; glances at it then to the Magda who is wearing a shocked expression) (looks at the paper again) Fetus! (as the doc is walking out) Wait just a damn minute! (follows him to the desk) Hey! Beginning of next episode... Doc: (another file already in his hand) Miss Exstead, please, we are a very busy ER, we care for approximately... Jinny: Fetus?! (Magda follows; too shocked to speak) I came in here with a concussion and you tell me I'm pregnant, I don't what med school you attended, but my head and my ass are a little far apart to get them confused. Now, I don't know who's chart you got mine confused with, but I'll be happy to be the first to congratulate the happy couple... Doc: Miss Exstead, please be assured that there was no confusion when running your tests. Our labs are very thorough, and very meticulous. When persons present with head trauma, as you have, we run multiple diagnostic studies. Your toxicology screen was negative, your HCG positive. You're pregnant, if you have any further doubts or concerns, my recommendation would be to make an appointment with your regular OB/GYN and have a follow-up study. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have sick patients to see. Jinny: (watches him leave; speechless) Magda: (shocked; mouth agape; recovers quickly; arm on Jinny's shoulder) Come on, let's get you home to rest. I think you're more sick now than when you first came in... (walking off as scene changes to some raunchy Nate/CD scene because I just know had the writers had enough sense to write this scene appropriately... they would have been wise enough not to let CD walk out on Nate after we worked so hard to get them together) Snowfall 02-27-2004, 01:30 AM Originally posted by dovesong I think that Jinny being pregnant will be great... but I think that scene lacked something... he just added that as an afterthought walking out of the room.... for effect it should have gone something like this: (While he's still standing facing her, not as an afterthought) Doc: Mild concussion. Like a mini fanfic LOL. Yes, that would have been better! And heck yeah, I'm all for the raunchy Nate/CD scene! ;) ;) :D Because, of course, what writer would put so much effort into their relationship and then NOT write it that way? ;) NancyTracey&Jon 02-27-2004, 06:37 AM That mini fan fic was awesome!!!! JUST AWESOME!!! And that's how it should have happened, I totally agree. I tell ya, all the people on the boards write better then the Lifetime crew, and we don't even get paid for it!! At least we can keep our story lines straight, and we don't have characters dropping off like flies!!! Once again, that rocked! |
