I like FOL but I really don't get why people here go so overboard for it. Really it wasn't all THAT great. In fact I think it started to stink after Eastland.

Really WHY so many posts here?

I agree though, FOL was never what you would call an amazing show. I mean, there are plenty of 80's shows that are more superior to FOL and yeah, there were episodes of FOL that are unwatchable(anything where they dressed up in costumes--I know Lisa Whelchel loved those....I thought they were cheesy, dumb and pointless). But I don't watch FOL cause it's a great show. I watch it cause it's a fun show. It's like Spaceballs, Clueless or most recently Legally Blonde and Josie and the Pussycats. No one would call those movies Oscar contenders and we could all name things that didn't fit in each movie....but that's not why I like those movies. They make me laugh and smile....sure once you start digging into realism, then you realize it's not good. FOL certainly has it's flaws. Four girls sharing one bedroom for so long is kinda wierd. Jo and Blair would never be friends in real life. Jo would never have been able to afford to go to the same school as some one as wealthy as Blair is supposed to be. No matter how hard her mom worked. They never discussed if Jo's dad ever paid child support. Tootie--being one of four black kids in Eastland--never experienced any racism. Anything? Natalie was never teased about her weight? It did not show an accurated description of high school. What kind of college has curfews? You can't have a friend in your dorm room past a certain time? I've never heard of that. Blair and Cliff? Cliff basically came in when it was convienent for the episode. So, yeah, if your nit-picky--you can write novels on the inaccuracies....but I personally don't watch the show cause it's all that great. I watch it cause it's cute and fluffy fun. Sometimes it nice to watch a world where problems can be fixed in 30mins.....wouldn't it be great if real life was like that?!

Well maybe we have so many posts here because have you ever thought that maybe some people like me for instance are ADDICTED to it? I mean, I really cannot live without it...

Mrs G: Jo, only twice in my life have I spoke in an arbitrary manner. Once when my ex-husband morgaged our home to pay the bookee and now, GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH MY FRYING PAN!

Blair: Look,I should know a phony when see one.

Jo: Yeah, you should... You spend to much time looking in the mirror!

I agree. I can understand someone getting tired of the show but at the same time I can't stay away from it.

I think this topic is fit for what I'm about to say: A little bit before FOL went off of Nick at Nite I started to grow weary of the show and even Jo(if you could imagine that). I even said some things I regret now like a brake would do FOL good. But I then got obssesed again and 10 times obssesed with Jo and Nancy. Then FOL stopped being on. That hurt.

Anyway, I can't help my obsession anymore than you can help you boredom.
