Grammer Predicts 'Frasier' Spinoff

Kelsey Grammer has speculated that his Frasier co-stars, David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves, might star in a spinoff of the series after next season. Grammer, who successfully transitioned his Frasier character into the current sitcom out of Cheers in 1993, told TV Guide Online that the two costars, who play Niles and Daphne on Frasier, "could may have [their own show] ... but you'd have to come up with a whole new angle for them. Creatively, it's possible."

Either Frasier and Martin leave Seattle.... or Niles and Daphne do.

I think it would have to be Niles and Daphne that leave.

Plus it makes sense for NBC to spin them off because after this year they are losing two hit sitcoms Friends and Frasier. It would make sense to spin them both off.

Bring them back to London.
And have Daphne's Mum be part of the cast.

This doesn't make any sense to me. Jane Leeves said in an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show that while she's sad that Frasier is ending she's looking foward to moving back to London and spending some time with her family. That wouldn't leave much room for a spinoff.

I don't think that Niles and Daphnie would survive very long in a spinoff. I think that Roz would be much, much better as a spinoff and it would probably last a lot longer too. Despite how incredibly funny Niles is, I just can't see it lasting.

YES!!! I think Niles is funnier than Frasier anyways!! :D

The legacy DOES live on...wow it would be fantastic if it does happen...and then 11 years later it ends ...and then ANOTHER show spins off of it.......and so on and so forth......and Cheers stays with us forever....lol sorry

Roz would be the only possible Spinoff I see...maybe her and Bulldog do a show together or something!:D
Actually, as much as I hate to see the legacy Cheers started 22 years ago end, it's time. Better to go out on top than drag it out to where the fans don't like the product any more. Look at the Star Trek Franchise! It's the perfect example of a franchise living too long.

I wouldn't think that there would me much interest from NBC in doing a spin-off. Ratings wise, the show is severly played out and is not attracting the anticipated viewer interest pre-finale. Two weeks ago it had its lowest rating ever- just 8.3mil viewers for a new episode. Granted, it was airing opposite an expanded American Idol, but Frasier has been on the air for 11 season now and is about the end- shouldn't fans be tuning back in?

Yeah, and Niles and Daphne will be visiting Boston and Niles will have to run into Cheers to use the John, and that'll be the Cheers reunion as they'll think he's Frasier after a big diet, and then Niles and Daphne go to Nantucket and arrive at Sandpiper Air and the Wings reunion that Frasier never did is done!

Please, let the characters RIP.
