becasue it would have been consistent to the outifts the characters were wearing in the NEW OPENING credits in september of 1979. The outifits worn by the characters in the episode-the New Landlord, was the exact same outfits they were wearing in the opening credits including Mr. Furley. I wonder do the New Landord air right after Surprise party in syndication.

But then there would not have been any Lana in the episode, and therefore it wouldn't have become a funny ep like that!

I still think the New Landlord should have been introduced before Lana.
