I don't think Jamie Foxworth came to replace her until the 2nd or 3rd episode.

Yes. Her name is Valerie Jones. She was only in the pilot. In the 2nd episode, Jaimee Foxworth came in.

One thing I could never understand is why that baby got his name in the opening credits and couldn't talk???!!!

So why did Valerie Jones leave the show after the first episode?

Most likely, considering she was changed out after the pilot, she probably just wasn't what they were looking for.

She probably got replaced the same way John Posey got replaced with Bob Saget in Full House. Maybe the producers originally wanted Jaimee Foxworth as Judy, but she was unavailable so they got someone else to play her until Foxworth became available. Just a thought though.

Too bad they went through all that trouble trying to find the right Judy when she would mysteriously disappear never to be seen or heard from again after the fourth season.
