Crazy Arthur was what hooked me to this show. But it seems that they are using him less this year. I figure he has to be at least 60 so I just started wondering. Is he sick? Is there a possibility that we may lose Jerry Stiller soon? Or does he just want more money?

I was wondering the same thing. Arthur is being used rarely during this season.
So are Deacon, Holly and Spence.
In Damned Yankee, only Carrie and Doug were the major players. Doug has surgery and nobody visits him in the hospital?

Jerry will be 77 this year. He live`s in NY, and won`t travel to LA as often as he used to.

Yeah, it probably is his decision. In the article that ChameleonX posted, it says, "The pilot was written with Remini in mind, though Remini said she didn’t know that until this evening. It took some convincing for her to agree, and it took even more for Jerry Stiller, who didn’t feel he could handle a weekly show at his age."

Does Jerry Stiller reside in New York?
That's one long commute to work!
Yeah, Jerry is getting older as the seasons pass and probably needs more breaks.
Add to the fact that Kevin James has stated that he would like to do more on-location shoots-- (as least every third episode he has stated wanting to take Carrie and Doug to a different locale)-- it might make it even harder to have Arthur written into the show.

Maybe it's all the yelling he has to do.

They need to work something out with him. As far as I am concerned, Arthur is to King Of Queens what Chrissy was to Three's Company. The episodes without her don't really hold my interest. King Of Queens will die without Arthur.

Yeah Arthur is really important to the cast but I Carrie & doug can hold episodes without him.

Any episode with Jerry Stiller as Arthur is definitely worth watching. He is one of the funniest characters on the show and I feel that he should be nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Sitcom.

Arthur was too calm for me last episode.

I don't know. The whole Ket-zup, catch-up thing seemed like classic Doug and Arthur to me.
