Our 2nd annual Yahoo Fantasy Baseball League will be starting soon, we will be having a live online draft on Friday, March 12th at 10:30PM ET/ 7:30PM PT. If you can't make it at that time, you can still pre-rank your players and pick that way.

6 have already signed up, I set the league for 12 teams but it can be set higher or lower based on the interest.

Can pavanbadal defend his championship?

Can TJ's Otters run away with the regular season crown only to come up short in the playoffs again?

Can Truth draft a team with less than 10 Mariners on his roster?

Can Greg break his record for most transactions in a season?

All those questions and more will be answered.

-----------------------------

Please join only if you are interested in playing the whole season, I don't want any teams that don't do anything this season - anyone who joins and doesn't do their lineup can be replaced this year though.

To join go here:

I'm interested in playing, but I have no clue how to play online. I mean I know how to play regular baseball, but not in this whole fantasy thing..

Does this help?

In a Head-to-Head League, your team will square off in a weekly matchup against another manager's to see who can compile the best stats across a number of different categories.
A new weekly matchup begins every Monday and will consist of a set number of games based on your league's statistical categories. Each stat category counts as one game, with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category (the cumulative total after each Sunday's games).

So, if in a given week, your team hits more home runs than your opponent's, you would be credited with a victory. However, if your opponent's team ended the week with more saves than your team, you would be charged with a loss. If the two teams end up tied in a given category, each will receive credit for a tied game.

This weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record, which will be used to determine standings and playoff seedings. These standings will be based on your team's overall winning percentage, which is calculated by taking your win total and adding 1/2 of your tie total and dividing the sum by the total number of games your team has played.

Head-to-head scoring is available in both Public and Custom Leagues. All Public Leagues use the same default settings, while Custom League commissioners will be able to specify a number of settings, including roster size and stat categories.

Thanks, Brian! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/icons/icon14.gif It sort of helps, but I think I'll sit this season out  Is there any way I can follow the progress of the games? Maybe by next year I'll have the hang of it.

During last season we would predict who would win at the beginning of each week. Then the next week we would post the results. You could follow it from there.

We need one more player. We have 9 so far but we cannot do the draft with an odd number of players.

Are we gonna get another manager? Surely there must be more than nine people who want to do this...

Finally a 10th person has signed up. I can't wait until the draft.

To rank players, click on "My Team" and then click "Edit Pre-Draft Player Rankings." There will be a live draft on Friday 7:30 PM PST. If you cannot make it, you can always let your draft rankings pick for you (it will pick the player that is the highest on your list that hasn't already been selected by someone else).

We have 12 now so the league is set. Live Draft is Friday night at 10:30PM EST. If you can't make it then, you can still pre-rank your players before that time and it will autopick for you.
