I'm really excited because I just found ONE copy left of it at Target on Tuesday for only 14.44! This is one of my all time favorite movies and after renting the DVD I had to by it! If you love this movie like me, you have got to see the special edition DVD. There's commentary by Rob Reiner and a special making of the movie with the guys talking now (or at least 3 of them- unfortunately no River Phoenix:( ) about making the movie and other cool stuff!

Gee that is so, so, sad!! Wished that they had "In Memoriam River Phoenix 1970-1993" Great and talented actor and musician who's life was sadly and tragically cut short!!

Well, they did actually talk about him. Like how ironic it is he dies at the end and then he dies in real life. They really acknowledged him being a great actor!

He certainly was a great actor and so good looking too. I think he could have been as successful as Tom Hanks or Harrison Ford had he lived.

He is very good lucking! When I was like 13 I was obsessed with him for like 2 months after I saw his E! True Hollywood story. I don't know why, cuz he was already dead, but I thought he was great. I wanted to see all his movies and I read this biography on him. I can't remember the name but it was a good read. He came from a very weird hippy-ish family! I still haven't seen all his movies. I think now if he was still alive he kind of would remind me of a Jonny Depp. Very good lucking, but also serious about his acting, too. Why did he have to abuse drugs?!

River Phoenix's death was a terrible shame. He was so talented, and I think he would have had a lifelong career as a top-notch actor.

Stand By Me is a great movie. Poignant coming of age film.
