Arnie Nuvo, a perfectly content loading dock foreman for the Continental Flange Company, unexpectedly found himself promoted to head of the Product Improvement Division. The sudden shift from blue-collar worker to white-collar executive made many drastic changes in Arnie's life. Suddenly he had all sorts of new challenges, new responsibilities, new sources of aggravation, and a substantial increase in pay. His social status was changed, and, with the exception of his good friend Julius, he was removed from contact with his former co-workers. The adjustments he and his wife Lillian had to make, and the problems they had making them, provided the material for the comedy in this series.
