Wesley aired from May until August 1949 on CBS.
Wesley Eggleston( played by Donald Devlin and later by Johnny Srewart) was a 12 year old boy who was making, but ever so slowly the transition from childhood to adulthood. He liked to play with his good buddy, Alvin ( Billie Nevard), with whom he had an almost brotherly relationship, fight with his teenage sister Elizabeth ( Joy Reese) and find ways of getting around his parents ( Frank Thomas and Mona Thomas). Joe Sweeney was also in the cast as Grandpa. This live situation comedy told of his adventures in a small rural community. The relationship between Wesley and his parents, was, despite the problems inherent in all parent-child relationships, a warm and loving one.
