Two of a Kind aired from September 1998 until July 1999 on ABC.
The adorable Olsen Twins of Full House fame were back in another Friday night TGIF kid-com with this saccharine offering. They played Mary-Kate and Ashley Burke who were the daughters of goofy loving Kevin ( Christopher Sieber), a widowed science professor who lived with them in an apartment across from Wrigley Field in Chicago. Mary-Kate was the tomboy, into baseball, and Ashley the straight A student , who was just beginning to get interested in boys. Into their life came Carrie ( Sally Wheeler), a feisty young nanny who just happened to be one of Dad's students. Dad wasn't so sure having a student for a nanny was a good idea, but the twins loved her, and-well, in sitcom land, you know the rest. Stories revolved around little misadventures, boyfriends, and Dad's dates, eventually with Carrie.

You either watch shows with the annoyingly adorable Olsen twins (from ''Full House'') or you don't. For those who do, they're back, playing 11-year-olds with their real-life first names, and they've decided on brand segmentation (Mary-Kate as the tomboy, Ashley as the one who wants to wear makeup to school). Christopher Sieber, as their widowed father, provides a dash of irony to cut the sweetness. Sally Wheeler is the girls' cool new nanny. The first episode has one good Chicago Cubs joke and a mention of Leonardo DiCaprio.
