One of the Boys aired from April until May 1989 on NBC.
A lightweight comedy about a spunky woman in a man's world. Maria ( Maria Conchita Alonso), tired of being pinched on her waitress job, decided to switch careers and take another shot at the American dream. Landing the job of bookkeeper for the small , family owned Lukowski Construction Co., she discovered that owner and single-dad Mike ( Robert Clohessy) needed as much help in his personal as in his professional life. The opinionated , motorcycle-riding Venezuelan hit it off immediately with " the boys." By the third episode she and Mike were dating , and in the fifth they were married, but it didn't save the series.
Mike's three boys were beefy Luke ( Michael DeLuise), who worked with him on the job, and teenagers Steve and Nick ( Billy Morrissette, Justin Whalin) , who were in school. Ernie ( Dan Hedaya) was the foreman and Bernice ( Amy Aquino) was Maria's best friend, a gum-snapping waitress.
