Living Dolls aired from September until December 1989 on ABC.
A lightweight comedy about 4 beautiful teenagers aspiring to become models under the tutelage of Trish Carlin ( Michael Learned), head of New York's small but influential Carlin Agency. The girls were innocent Martha ( Alison Elliott), serious Emily ( Halle Berry), who wanted to use her earnings to become a doctor, self-centered Caroline ( Deborah Tucker), and tough-talking Charlie ( Leah Remini), a former street kid with a chip on her sholder. The 4 lived with breezy Trish, who served as their mentor, teacher, and surrogant mother. Trish's other challange was trying to control the overactive hormones of her 16 year old son , Rick ( David Moscow), who thought he was in heaven.
Living Dolls was a spin-off from Who's The Boss ( Charlie was a friend of Boss's Sam Micelli), and both Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano sometimes dropped by. Also visiting was Trish's sister Marion ( played by Marion Ross), who filled in as den mother when Trish was out of town.
