Foot In The Door ran from March until May 1983 on CBS.
Following the death of his abstemious wife after 40 years of marriage, widower Jonah Foot ( Harold Gould), moved from Pitts Valley, N.H., to the New York City co-op apartment of his son Jim ( Kenneth Gilman) and daughter-in-law Harriet( Diana Canova), and proceeded to become a liberated skirt-chasing swinger. This created no end of problems for conservative Jim, an advertising agency copywriter, and sweet Harriet, a buyer for a Manhattan department store. It also failed to endear him to Mrs. Griffin ( Marian Mercer), the cynical president of the board of directors of the building in which the Foots lived.
